I've had the blue version of this watch for just over a year now. Absolutely love it. Actually never worn it on the bracelet yet, went straight to a leather strap because I wanted to wear it before I sized it. Definitely agree that the manual winding is a bit gritty compared to most of my other watches, but really doesn't bother me. All in all, thanks for the review! Fun to watch what other people think of them.

Great review on a very underrated and often overlooked watch brand. I have owned this watch for just over a month now, and am VERY impressed with it. The dark green is stunning, esp. in the sunlight. The finish is simply oustanding. The power reserve indicator is brilliant! Mine runs around 6 secs/day slow when worn, and around -1 second when stored overnight with the crown down. I am DEFINITELY getting another one, either in blue or gold. WAAAAAY better than any Seiko at this price (they are around the 500+ dollar mark, but worth every penny) Chrono24 has a bunch of these, but prices vary widely depending on where you buy them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Couldn't agree more. Orient Star is a brand that is very overlooked. Their movements are better than Seiko's in this price range, all of their watches are fully made in Japan. and they sell for way under MSRP. If they weren't so big I also want one of their diver's as well.

I have just recently purchased the Orient Star Classic. Really beautiful. This watch with the blue second hand and the white/cream dial is next on the list. The classic will be my dress watch and this will be my day to day watch. This one benefits from sapphire crystal whereas the Star has mineral crystal to give it that stunning throwback dome effect. That makes this watch a far better choice for day to day wear.

I bought this some days ago from Chrono24, from a merchant in Singapore. I bought the white one which has the hands of seconds and power reserve blue. It's already in my home town but I'm on vacation and I'll get it on Monday when I'll be back. I'm so excited because I love it on videos and photos and it seems a real deal as for quality /price. Also there are a lot of videos but they're all in some strange language without subtitles at all. So I loved to find this review in English which is not my language but it's at least understandable from me. Thumbs up for you
    Ciao from Italy

@@JustWatches1 i got it today. It's wonderful, I love it and I admit I would have liked a colored one, for example I understand that yours must be great with direct light on it. But on mine I really like the blue hands (seconds and power reserve), they really give it a twist. Now it's time to sell my (ex) smartwatch ;-)

Orient star makes very unique looking watches for sure. I kind of like these, not very much videos on youtube about orient star, or information about them on the internet in general. I own 2 orient divers and they sure are very good in the quality for price aspect. I might have to consider selling my tissot dress watch at some point, and maybe get an orient star in the place. Btw. Great video!

It was running +7 on the timegrapher, but I haven't tracked it on wrist. I tend to switch my watch everyday (or multiple times a day lol) so it is hard to gather data that way.
