I think they are having them installed 2020 or 2021. I like it as they reduce their physical mass and expand vertically instead of horizontally and thus take up more traffic. They should be implemented more in places that don’t have a limit. London busses are a pleasure to ride in for me.
jswats92 They didn’t win the contract anyway, as again, size limitations, and there are only a few places these double deckers could fit. The next order of express coaches are coming from Prevost.
Nelson Prevost won the last express bus order over MCI due to better fuel economy. Now for the next express bus order, it’s the MCI D45 CRT LE vs the AD Double Decker Enviro500 Bus. Both are low entry compared to the MCI D4500.

The bus wasn't permanent, it was only a test and the MTA opted not to order them anyway because they very limited in where they can be used.
