Trains In The 1990's Reading & Oxford, 1st January 1993 Part 2

Carrying on from where we left off in Part 1, more New Years Day passenger activity at Reading and Oxford stations, this half heavily featuring Intercity HST's on Great Western and Cross Country services, plus the odd Network SouthEast DMU and EMU, before finishing with a Regional Railways Class 156 at Oxford! Filmed on 1st January 1993.

Jeepers..There's one hell of a change at Reading now.. and Oxford is on the cards as well.. Very interesting as in all your yesteryear video's. all the different liveries. I read that HST's will be non maintained co's they are out by 2000 on the MML.. Very nice video.

Class 165 unit member 165115 was written off in the Ladbroke Grove crash in October 1999 becoming the first Turbo unit to be withdrawn

+KPGames 365 It's a video indeed! It was fairly top of the range back in the mid 80's, but some quality has been lost with the transfer from the original small cassettes onto VHS videos, which have then sat around for 25+ years before being transferred to DVD(losing a bit more quality), and then edited together in Windows Movie Maker - so they don't come out too bad after all that.
