Best part of this video from my childhood, that wonderful and amazing ROARING sound from the 10-car Pittsburg/Bay Point train as the train screamed onto and away from Platform 2.
This is cool footage! I love the sound of these trains! I'm facsinated by the BART system. I think it's very unique in that it is ki d pf a cross between a conventional Metro and a Commuter rail system.
I remember when I was going to work in San Francisco in 2001 at the West Oakland BART station they were there for almost 10 minutes because they had to look in the train actually saw one bar police officer with a K-9 unit and a Marine in full combat gear walking with a Bart police officer my sister did not feel safe but once I explained to her what was going on then she started feeling safe again thank you for doing these videos
@sflover89 Yes he was whistling, but I can't remember if someone was blocking the doorway. I think there was still one or two people rushing to board the train.
At 28:34 we see AD frames on the Wall. As these Ads strobe past think. What if each AD said NO then DRINKING then EATING then VAPING then SOLICTING etc. ON BART. Woooosh-eeeeee-NO DRINKING EATING-you get it.
You know how crazy the commute is then lol. I go from Castro Valley to Montgomery every morning at 7am, then head back at 5pm. I don't even remember the last time I've gotten a seat.
I'm sure this 5 car Daly City shown towards the end of the video is coming from Richmond. I believe it's cause after it follows a 4 car, which Fremont uses with a mix of 5 cars (Richmond uses all 5 cars on Sat schedule). And that TO, wow, probably it has to do with a door obstruction, but I have never seen TOs do that. I think I know that guy, and I think he's Peter (who I used to have on some weekday mornings on one of the last trains of the morning commute. He's really nice).
What happened at 27:55? Was that the train operator whistling? I also heard him say "May I have your attention please"? Was there someone blocking one of the doorways of one of the train car?
One thing that I love about the bay area is the sound effects and the transportation mainly the trains, airplanes, airports etc

I've heard some rumors that they're thinking about putting Bart all the way out to Tracy but they're just talking about it
Those trains are gone now :(

Sometimes when I go on BART some people don't like me because my service animal is with me but some people Do Not know about service animals
The old trains are far superior than the new ones -- the new ones are nothing but cattle cars
In your opinion
