I love what you have done with your scrap yarn….I think I shall do some of this for scarves for the needy/homeless/ charities. These multi layered yarns should be warmer even if made from acrylics. No doubt you are turning into a brilliant, innovative, talented, creative knitter! Thank you so very much for sharing all this lovely “mindful magic” with us all.
A knitting machine is on a similar level as a sewing machine. People don't say to those who use sewing machines that they need to learn how to hand sew and be rude about it. Why be rude to people who use a knitting machine? It's just a tool to help. You still have to know how to knit and crochet when using a knitting machine to be able to finish off your projects. Not everybody can hold a crotchet and knitting needles well. Knitting machines just opens doors up to people who struggle with their conditions. My rant is not directed at you Cass but at those who are being rude to those who use these machines. Because of you, I bought myself a knitting machine and i love it. Ive been crochet more seriously since spring of last year, and now being able to do both in crunches of time is just beautiful. Thank you! ❤
Cass, first time watching and love the idea of winding multiple colours together, also if anyone says anything about using a knitting machine, I agree with you, if you like it then you do it, at the end of the day it’s up to you - hand or machine, if you sew do you have to do everything by hand to be recognized as doing a good job, no. Love the top and love your dog also. Enjoy your knitting and take care. Snookums 😊
I love your cute kittle doggie 💕. We had a little one too, sadly he got sick with terminal cancer, but we did a bucket list for him and made sure his last months were the best ever. I made a huge blanket with my scrap Bernat blanket yarn. Happy kitting /crocheting.
Love the colour I love the colour it looks great what you started lovely top I knitting a scrap cardigan it is going well and is very colourful great video
What you were doing with the multiple strands of yarn held together is an old technique called "marling". If you start with a palette of, say, 5 colors and hold 3 of those strands to begin your project, slowly replacing one strand at a time with one of your remaining colors, you can create some really cool fading up the project. 😊 If you decide you want to progress in your knitting, let me know and I'll drop in some names of people you can look up who are skilled at teaching advanced colorwork and construction/finishing techniques while keeping it really easy to understand for people still relatively new to the craft. Keep having fun with it, your project turned out pretty cool!
You did a fantastic job!! I also knit and crochet but all I do is blankets and scarves!! I am working on shawls and that’s fun!!! Would love to do socks but omg seems too difficult for me lol❤
Just one bin??? I got two really big bins!!😂 I do really try to not buy any new yarn but when is see a yarnshop I have to take a look and I always end up buying new yarn!
I am not sure if a few full balls of the same yarn should be called scrap yarn. 1 ball would make a beanie and then some. But apart from that, nice multi-strand projects.
Hi, 🤗, Cass, I was watching this video & I saw you were cooking something in your oven. I was wondering what it was? And may I have the recipe. I want to make it for my older Brother & Sister for a dinner meal. It looked that Good with the noodles.👍👍👍😀 on it. Was that, Thyme you put with the recipe? Thank you. for answering my question. No, I'm not into fitness just doing my best. I do hope you receive this message of mine. 🙂😉. Sincerely, Elsa R. 63 yrs Young Old Woman. 👍😏. From out in California. Bye, 👋 for now.
6:25 when i saw the thumbnail, i thought you were gonna show how to make that scrap thing where you tie the yarn together and then make something out of it.😂😂 perhaps next time? *edit* the vest looks so cute though!😊
