Kinda weird that we get no say about how the government is spending our taxes for it's agenda. Seems like something we should be allowed to vote on.

I understand the idea of that but we are a democracy as well as Israel and Ukraine well most of our Allys to a certain extent but we have no quarter in what happens bc we have a duty to protect our ally’s as they also do to help us. We are going in heavy debt from these wars but when they win the wars we will get paid back and they will go in debt. It’s not a free choice it’s a duty.

We have had a volunteer military since the end of the Vietnam war. Unless he calls a national draft because WW3 starts, no one has to join the military or go into battle unless they choose to do so. If you want it to stay that way, we have to keep the threat from spreading by helping our allies fight for their homes.

We have been extremely lucky to help others fight in their homes, or to fund their fights for their homes. We are trying to keep our involvement to mostly funding their fights for their homes such as in Ukraine, or only using our volunteer military forces to defend us abroad. And the US always enter battle for the sake of our interests.

Hey Joe I'm an American and "I am asking for help!" I lost my company during the Covid "Panicdemic", my savings in the bank is earning .0001% interest, the money I earned and saved for my retirement has suffered a huge loss of value due largely to inflation largely caused by out of control military budget that grows and grows and grows! My wife came home from the drugstore today with a "generic" version of the eyedrops I use to control the disease effecting my eyes and the retail price was almost as much as the name brand (more than $700 a month!!!!!). I watched an interview with Bibi Netanyahu a few days ago where he bragged about Israel having one of the strongest economies in the world…they don't need our economic aid! We do! Many Americans have been left behind by our high tech society, with AI just around the corner many of our most skilled and highly educated citizens will soon be joining the unemployment line. Stop using foreign wars as an excuse to enrichen the military industrial complex that General Dwight D Eisenhower warned us about way back in the mid 1900s.

We're not helping anyone except for the 1% in Ukraine and Israel in the money laundering scheme that is "foreign aid." And this is all the while prices are rising at home due in part to funding foreign wars, but also because current modern economic policy has created a false scarcity causing the biggest price hikes in decades.

The world viewed Trump as Putin's puppet, he was constantly attacking NATO in the news, and Putin didn't want to risk pushing Trump into a position where he would be forced to oppose him. Although I'm sure looking back on it, Putin wishes he would of attacked UKraine during Trump's presidency, however at the time he didn't believe Ukraine would put up such a fight. It was his belief that Ukraine would fall within a couple of weeks.

I don't disagree, but aid to Ukraine is also important for our economic future. China's watching that conflict very closely to see how long USA is willing to support a small country (like Taiwan) against an aggressive neighbor. Aid to Ukraine is a pretty small investment compared to what future conflicts that bring the world to war would cost. And it's not like we're just sending cash over. We're funding our defense industry to send stuff over to them, keeping our defense industry active in a time of relative peace where we haven't been fighting as much ourselves.
