Keeping it brushed is smart. I plan to drop in a trinity micro monster in mine pretty soon. Although, my backyard track is considerably smaller and I can already clear the jumps with the stock system.
@@chasentrophies yes, i got the "wild" version. Heard the non-wild may not be faster than the stocker. So great to be able to open up and change brushes. 🙌
It’s the stock servo saver! Ditch it and get a metal servo arm that’s why ur cars all over the place the community has talked about this with the mini’s
Loved the video. I have one of these and I agree that putting in a better brushed would be perfect with the right amount of power. I know that that losi vintage 370 motor was discontinued a long time ago but do you know of any that are still available in production that can show similar performance? Thanks.
There are trinity motors you can find, I forget what they are called... Search the comments of this video I spoke with someone about em! The 370 losi motors aren't impossible to find! Just harder
I want to love this truck, I really do. BUT I have the same turnbuckle issue and it's driving my crazy! My hits aren't hard at all. If I just barely bump the side of the lane, the turnbuckle pops off. Reached out to Horizon, and we'll see what they say. Didn't have this issue w/ my Mini Jrx2.
@@chasentrophies Yeah, I used to teach HS physics, so I understand that, but looking in forums, not everyone is experiencing this issue. One person said he hasn't had this issue at all, but a buddy of his does -and they were driving their trucks similarly in the same conditions.

I would like to know what all I can do to this thing. Just got one and I’d like to upgrade everything from suspension to the motor I wanna know everything!
Hey can that receiver/esc combo unit handle that modified brushed motor? I don't want to go brushless either, but that toy grade end bell looks terrible on this new JRX2 mini I just got. I'll be looking for this motor also.
Seems to handle it just fine! Can't tell ya in the long term cause I just set it in shelf after this video. But the motor did get a bit hot after a run so let it cool down for sure or gear it down
All these trucks should be MUCH faster from stock now we have the technology to easily achieve it. It’s tedious that they supply them at 80% of performance. Tut tut Losi.

I just learned after making this video that those exist!

@JB RC if you find a link to extra brushes please let me know!
@@chasentrophies ok, will do. I scored a couple sets on ebay.
Im a noobie in this rc world but why is it smart to keep the brush motor instead of t brushless one... Terms of reliability? Nice video ✌🏼🤟🏼
Dude, I want one. Killer video man.
Dude, get one!
Good thing I grabbed 7 of them when the jrx2 came out.
NICE
Can't find one anywhere?!
@CO OCD happy hunting!!
Can I have the link for the motor plz
@Isiah Anderson it's discontinued, it's a rare item to find which makes it special

Yea after filming this I should have at LEAST done the zip tie on the saver
I can't find it on ebay brother need help about the motor
So how is this Truck it looks so kool.
Tbh it's a shelf piece for me, I've only played with it a couple times after this video

Not an excuse but it is the reason why

Nice track. I would love to run my mini b here.
I like running my mini t mote than my 1/10
Forgot to comment when I watched this. 1, I subscribed, 2 I gotta find one of these motors for one of ours

Martin Angela Walker Timothy Anderson Anthony
So in theory the Tamiya 370 sport tuned should also fit?? The insane 370 is nearly impossible to find..
Yesir! Trinity also made some tiny 370 motors
Does that motor really make much difference. I have one but don't want to put the dynamite in it but it's super slow.
😮 omg Twister 😅😅
I still cant find this motor hard to find?
Yes! Look in mini t Facebook pages
This is an OLD motor

Mine is currently kind of just a shelf queen! Only really bought it for this video. But there is a community on Facebook for them and their mods!
