TALKING to us for the first time is star Lily James and Shazad Latif who both appear in the new British film, ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It?’ and directed by Shekhar Kapur.
This romantic comedy from the same company, Working Title, that made ‘Love Actually’ and ‘Four Weddings and Funeral’ returns to this genre with a modern contemporary romance that see James, as Zoe, and Latif as Kaz, initially misunderstand and disapprove of each other’s romantic choices.
Despite growing up together as neighbours, they have very different upbringings and feel quite differently about love and marriage - he is opting for an arranged/assisted marriage while she is dating and romancing without too much success and as a filmmaker gets the chance to follow Kaz to Lahore for the nuptials - find out what Lily and Shazad think about their roles and how they relate to them or don’t.

@@annegreenwood906I pay attention to what Shazad himself said in his last interview, that to google or any journalist, also that is not mentioned, but there are always false things , but if Shazad says that he is not married, I believe him , the truth is knows the person himself , not others

Lily has hardly aged since Cinderella and Mamma Mia 2. She’s so gorgeous.
I loved the movie,and apart from the typical British humour, it also had some moments of though provoking dialogues!

I'm sorry but the story & song based on Tina Turner's life is already called "Whats Love Got 2 Do With It". Are they paying 4 the copyright of this & it's going 2 confuse many people who will think that's it's a remake. And disappoint them.

That much arrange marriage didn't happen in in the 100 A.D.
This is what i hate about western, they always potrait the pakistani culture too much extreme or too soft, there is something called Balance. Like how parents of any family force a child who is this financially, physically, and educationally grown, whether a woman or man.
Back to Hollywood.
And my parents are forcing me to marry and i am like 28 and saying that i won't marry anyone, my parents have shown me 100's of picture and all i say is am a boy still don't wanna marry anytime soon.
Intresting points... In the West here, there is a very little understanding of arranged or assisted marriages...this film simply says, be open-minded and is directed towards non South Asians really...just trying to reflect another reality, we don't often see here (in the west). Agree balance is ideal... as there good arguments on both sides just respect them and then decide...
@@asianculturevulturecom1 even the Pakistani girl which was chosen was like a girl who is being forced and in the end they all are dancing. We hate dancing, its indian and Hindu culture.
But that’s just your story? This is a romcom I don’t think it’s meant to be serious and be honest I have seen many ppl in highly professional careers who choose assisted marriage simply because in society now you don’t have the time to look for a partner especially in the medical field in UK.

These kind of marriages are a reality and are successful in joint family system when you know him/her, but when the spouse is from a outside your family/friendship fold then it sometimes cause problems. The religion however doesn't promote marriage without knowing a person.
