    I know this isn't overly technical music, but his playing is really clean. That pick scraping technique is Gojira level stuff right there.

      Vheissu Not sure if it's true or not, but I've heard Fit For An Autopsy are heavily influenced by Gojira, so that might be just their way of throwing some influence in there!

    The riff/scrape at 3:32 is one of the most unnerving breakdowns I have ever heard thanks to that masterfully crafted pick scrape. Quite literally sounds like a sonic descent into Hell and I love it !

    I wonder if they have some kind of effect on that harmonic scrape? the tone they are able to create with it is fucking awesome. But the thing is you can do those all day and hear bands do them and they don't sound the same at all. Oh well this is one of the catchiest songs I've heard in a long time, thanks for the good music FFAA!

    • @LucasBozovich
      @LucasBozovich 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure what it's called, but it looks like a derived form of tremolo. He uses a floating bridge, but instead of using a whammy bar, he's pushing the bridge down with his hand.

    • @MirkoFustinoni
      @MirkoFustinoni 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Nope, that's a very slow pick scrape on the low string near the bridge, in an area where you mainly hear the open note bended with a "metallic" sound, instead of the harmonics that come with a normal scrape ;)

    • @patricksheridan4492
      @patricksheridan4492 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      JudgementStorm1 sorry this is such a late reply, but it is, like said below, a slow pick scrape to the bridge. If you catch it just right it crates a low almost “grinding/moaning” noise. One of our favorites. You can do it by over picking the low string and scraping out of it as well. Its a little more aggressive that way. Have fun!!!

      alpenjodel24 I use fairly lighter strings, light tops heavy bottom idea. 10-13-17-36-46-56-68 in drop G. Sometimes I go a little heavier.....but that's my fav.
