It's not often we get to see such good POVs, or rather the POVs of a skilled rider. I'm looking forward to seeing your next videos, so one more sub! That was great fun to watch, especially the exciting start where your gained so many positions.
Thank you! Really happy to hear that :) Hopefully you'll enjoy the upcoming videos as well, next two races are this weekend. And hopefully I can make a similar start to this one :D
Hey nice riding man... sorry for your crash at the end... I have a question about the bike and would be glad if you could answer me :d is the new r6 way faster on the track than the old rj15? As far as weight and bike geometry is there a big difference? I would love to know how much the weight difference between a race ready setup of the new and old model are and if there is a big difference in handling?Because when you buy the new bike as stock then you cant really compare because of the heavy exhaust system and engine setup etc.... and after all, do you feel a great benefit of the TC on a 600ccm bike on the track? I am asking because i am thinking about getting an r6 and i just dont know if it is worth to pay that much more money for the new one over the old one... i once owned a used R6 Cup bike and was actually perfectly happy with it. thanks in advance for the answers mate!
Burak Kaan Cintuglu Hey man! Well I can give you the short answer immidiatly: if you can get the old one for a much better price, get the old one! I've only raced the specs allowed in this cup and can only compare between almost stock bikes. But it basically is the same bike. Geometry and the feeling with the different forks is definitely better with the new one, but not by much. Handling is improved a bit, especially when trail braking. It gives you more confidence braking hard deep into a corner. TC is a huge waste of time tho, it is of no use at all... I have it on 1 because it resets to that, otherwise I would have it on off all the time. It really does nothing I feel. I've highsided anyways and it interrupts you more than anything if it's on 4 or higher. No need to have help controlling 115-120bhp. And also if you don't play with different mappings then the old one is probably faster around a track. Euro 4 regulations on the new one sets it back more than 10hp. They weigh the same as well, both I had was around 172kg. I guess it all depends on how sensitive you are though, what I think is a minor advantage in the new model might be a huge advantage for you if you are more sensitive in those areas. But yeah, with this said, don't spend too much money just to get the new one!
Great video and great riding, really enjoyed it. Did you invert the shift keeping the OEM quickshifter? I'm struggling to get info on how to do it without losing the QS.
Simone Muscolino glad you liked it!! Yeah I did, we've got an aftermarket gear lever with holes on both sides of the pivot. What you need to do is change the gear rods fastening from one side to the other as well. Don't know how well I explained that, but if you DM me somehow I could send pictures. If you have Facebook search for Mattias Ödlund Racing and send a message!
Yeah it's such a shame, was shaping up to be a really great race! We were 3 riders involved but luckily everybody's perfectly fine. The red flag was because of oil from a cracked engine cover from the guy that fell in front of me.
You have a great riding skill💪 im into this from last summer. What is your time? 1.40? Mine is 2.00 on gsxr600 2002. I can see at youre at around 1.45 💪10:22 Old video but great to watch this💪👍
Nimo Racing We're all fine, Thanks! The bike seems to be ok as well. A bent handlebar, broken footpeg and scuffed fairings, nothing else! The guy in front dented a rim and the clutch cage, much worse for him :S
Glad to read that! I didn't had this chance last year :( After 2 years without racing (I mean trackdays only I'm too slow), I bought an R6 and on the first day I had a huge high side. Fractures of two vertebrae, and I broke my foot. Twisted fork, broken tail, fairing in pieces etc.. :( Confidence is gone.. I'll try to be back as soon as possible, but it's really expensive unfortunately.. :(
Oh man sorry to hear that... Yeah I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago, second time on the bike and highsided, luckily I only broke my ankle and the bike was practically fine. Was still expensive tho, and I really feel for you! But if you want it, you'll be back in no time!
Thx mate I really appreciate. I have so many things to learn to be fast, I just hope that I didn't burn all my jokers with those crashes (I had a huge accident in 2013 at Magny Cours too). Take care and have fun!
nicholas hole Yes it is, the cup allowed no changes at all, everything was supposed to be stock. No mapping and no extra radiators or oil coolers, and the new R6 is even leaner in mixture than it's predecessor with the Euro 4 regulations so it was kind of a problem with the temperature!
That feeling when you watch all ten minutes and forget the title of the video halfway through and then nearly have a heart attack at 10:18...

I've got a 2012 Yamaha r6 and it is the spec edition with the white and red eagle type wings on the fairings it's just amazing to ride.
Nice riding. Almost was seing it before it happens. That rider infront of you had proplems also in corner before this.
Yup! Too bad I never saw it coming at the time hehe
Geniale Strecke und schöne Kurven, dazu noch die Vollgas Passagen 😀👍Shit happens 🙄🙃😉
That start!!!
Mohr Racing haha it's like I said, when I saw you just in front of me I didn't know what to do 😂
Hahaha, brilliant ;)

MasterBlasterSr haha that's awesome! Thank you, and it's a great bike, hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do ;)
That was really nice man !

Ah man, that sucks. You were making a comeback. All riders ok? I noticed that they red flaged the race.
Great riding!

1:13 what a sexy pass. Not an easy one either.
Yeah and pulled it off much better than the next guy at the same corner :P
Oh that sucks!! Hopefully you guys are fine. What about the bike? The fork is ok? Any bad damage?

Don't we all! Nah man, all you need is a bit of luck and a good time next time you ride and all bad memories will be erased. You too, my friend!
What camera are you using?
MovieMan797 GoPro Hero Session 4 I think it's called
On what settings? good quality
1080p 30fps wide angle view. Yeah it's a more than decent camera for it's price!
Mattias Ödlund Indeed! also good driving!
Thanks, man!
Nice riding 💪
Ranic Thanks! ✌🏼
I think you are living in to high of rpm range for the r6 15-16rpm you are on the downward side of the curve would try to be 13-15.
Nice
Holy shit....whatta ride
Yeah, one to remember! :P

Yup, but I was perfectly fine :)
Ach verdammt, wie ärgerlich 😔

@@mattiasodlund1147 we had same problem with our R6 we needed to change the radiator cause it it was getting so hot when we drive at the small tracks
Yeah that sucks! New euro 4 regulations are not helping us in the world of motorsport 😂
@@mattiasodlund1147 no its really not
