first thing that popped into my mind when ı listen is how this would sound in an alternate tuning system. I think the piece would benefit it a lot, some interval dont sound correct
You don't have to appreciate the music, but surely it's not random at all-it's very clearly written out and organized. Maybe you should learn what words mean before you use them.
I'm a jazz pianist. I'm gonna steal a lot of material from this piece. Thanks!
All great artists steal. I would love to hear what you create inspired by this beautiful music.
see also Alexander Scriabin, Piano Sonata n° 5 for example

Haz que merezca la pena!
Such beautiful music. The harmonies are just so sweet. I’d like to see Koechlin gaining more popularity, he’s such an underrated composer.
I love Koechlin’s music. His refined ear and fascinating harmonies are always a pleasure to hear.
Beautiful piece! thanks for sharing. Definitely reminds me of Satie too.
My first thought
Can hear some Holst in this as well; several parts of this piece reminds me of _Venus_ in particular.
I knew him from the lovely orchestration he did for Fauré's "Mélisande's song", when he was his pupil. But this piece is just incredible!❤
Never heard of this composer, what a happy surprise! Thank you
The harmonies remind me of Ravel in a way but more mystical
That was my first thought as well!
yessss
Interesting they were both students of Fauré!
at 2:12 the voicings are straight out of Pavane
Everyone was a student of Faure...
Feels like Bill Evans' Peace Piece.
Cause Evans made serious study of Ravel, Debussy and Scriabin
Very nice. I've never heard of this composer. Saving to my favorites. Thank you.
He composed several oboe musics.
A beautiful piece and beautifully played. Thank you.
Beautiful, I have some of his chamber compositions, never came across his piano pieces. Thank you
Beautiful ❤❤❤
As usual, Koechlin rules! Amazing composer, up there with the "great Frenchies" of the 20th century
“Great Frenchies of the 20th century” is my new favorite phrase, thank you
@@PianoCurio Hehe you're welcome!
Interesting find!!
Thank you very much
This is beautiful.
Wow, awesome!
Thanks for covering this! Koechlin is one of my absolute favorites
Thank you for all your videos. They are very much appreciated. This in particular is such a beautiful piece.😃👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much, glad you enjoy them as I enjoy making them!
Amazing stuff!
Very nice

This feels like a piece in 31 edeo
thanks! 😊
Gorgeous, thanks for sharing
Lovely
Lindo !!!!
Interesante canal, muchas gracias, suscrita ❤
Amazing ❤
Charles Koechlin really must be more widely performed and heard.
Dude just had one riff and made small variations on it. That's it, nothing more was needed.
He was a student of Gabriel Fauré :0
I loved this one, you should listen to "robe des champs" from Shiro Sagisu
Sounds bit like early Jazz. Or like Ravel
Modern Jazz came form Impressionistic composers.
Koechlin is so incredibly underrated.
I you told me this was Chick Corea it believe you instantly.
Wyndham Hill would have loved him. Move over George Winston.
Motus Rectus
Sounds like smthing from Erik Satie
Not even close.
Какой-то диссонанс …
Ghibli vibe
Random noise based on a misunderstanding of the harmonic series.
😂😂😂
A typically arrogant comment from someone who rarely has anything constructive to say, and offers nothing original, or interesting.
Lmao
Random negative comment based on a misunderstanding of music.😉

Meaningless sounds.
