PNSO Yangchuanosaurus magnus “Dapeng” Review!! New 2023 Prehistoric Animal Models #76

#pnso sure love Yangchuanosaurus. Two releases basically back to back. However unlike the last one this represents an adult specimen of Y. shangyouensis. And boy is it gorgeous. Absolutely look the look and proportions. The lipped look really takes their theropods to a new level. Highly recommended for your #dinosaur collection.

The head sculpt almost reminds me of the Venatosaurus from King Kong

I think they could have splashed a bit of color on the crests. Head crests are widespread in allosauroids and may have driven their diversity via sexual selection. I am very happy this one has lips though. I ordered Donald recently and am excited for him to arrive.
Yangchuanosaurus is also one of the oldest "giant" size theropods (like 10 meters and above) we know of, alongside the megalosaur Wiehenvenator. They were both reaching ~10 meters and over 3 tons in the middle Jurassic before even Allosaurus appeared.

It would be my one and only Yang for now. Love your reviews for the most part
however you lost me when you rejected the picture/poster. That was a bit unnecessary. Just sayin.

Don’t save the posters or boxes. They go in the recycling either way. Just have a love/hate relationship with PNSO and their posters lol
