In the first scene of ep1. Kang In Wook was shot and he fell down into swimming pool. So i guess in the end he protected Ma Ri from his father. He kept the promise to protect his wife from his father. He doesn't wanna she die like his mother. Anyway i just guess the ending of movie hehehe. Still love Ryu Soo Young and all actors in this movie

right?? I know he's an antagonist in this drama but the only reason I keep watching is him. His character is really complex and makes him more interesting to watch. Plus Ryu Soo Young is a really good actor like we can see real pain in his expressions. I don't really like the other male character, he is so bland and indecisive compared to Kang In Wook, and always seem too weak to protect Ma Ri
and me i was wishing to love him back but he cant change his abusive behaviour so its better without him, i saw he loves her very much, i hope i can see another drama with him same best

I watched this after the last empress. I found Ma-ri character was too weak and fragile. Trembled and terrified every time when she was confronting with In-wook. Same with Jung-won. Both characters were unbearable. Plus Jung-Won kept giving his ‘charming-prince-warm' look during most of his appearance and I was so sick of it. I prefer the characters of In-wook and Hae-ra. Not that I agree with In-wook’s wrongdoings. Just their appearances were way more interesting than both 1st leads.
Poor guy!! His father is the beast. If the wife know how to love him and try to heal his pains they'll have happy life forever after. She only wants to run away and not even try to love him. With my opinion i think she is selfish and greedy. Even when she left his house she also loved another man. I don't think she is ready for new relationship. This drama left the pain in my chest. The lead actor is amazing and talented
Louisa Yek bcs the man had a scar in his soul So if she tries to do something to heal his heart maybe everything will get better. The fact is the guy loves her so much and he is having problems. When they're married so both of them need to understand how to live happy life
