Yaaaas ma man
My favorite part is when the guitars go "dun nun, dun nun, MEOW".
There are certain unique feelings and vibes each gojira album emits, for me personally at least...
Terra incognita -conserved, dark, juvenile but sinister
The link -an ancestral, tribal and primitively raw power, pumping through our veins throughout evolution
Mars to Sirius -Larger than life, moving through a universe that is literally too vast for us to understand
The way of all flesh -a very primal and raw connection we have with our true self, like an analysis of human nature itself
L'enfant Sauvage -melancholic, the thin line or grey area between sadness and pure anger.
Magma -an ethereal out of body experience, leaving your body to place your mind amongst the stars
Fortitude- hope, unity, the power to go on, finding reason to continue fighting, holding on and pushing through the struggle, the grind.
Or at least thats just what I feel from them :)
Really, really well said.
Couldn’t of said it better
@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head agreed, and a lot of the things people say about their newer music is found in their older stuff as well.. melodic stuff, clean vocals, strong bass lines. In the Forest has a bit of all of that, as just one example.
Very good analysis man. Couldn’t have written it better. 👌🏼🤘🏼
One of the best TH-cam comments I've read
This was my favorite song from the new album. Lyrics are so beautiful. I just wish the vocals were a little higher on this album, especially when they're chanting "We're all on the same boat, we're going down
. We're all on the same boat, we're going high" in the outro.
I listened to an interview of Joe and he said that we wanted the voice to be in the mix like the other instruments, this is why the voice is a little bit lower than before, and why there is so much voices layered together
I didn't thinkabout the vocals thing but this song is my fave as well on the new album. I think it blends pre-magma stuff and this album and gives me that heavy gojira shit i need but w that beautiful melodic sound from magma and FMTS
New Found is my favorite too. It’s such a well constructed harmony.. joyful, hopeful, powerful.
I think the vocals are perfectly produced - so richly layered.
We're all, on the same boat, we're going down!
We're all, on the same boat, we're going high!
high pitch gojira = good gojira
The main riff stomps in like Billy Big Bollocks and immediately owns the place. I love the "cat screech" effect going on that punctuates more meaning into it. Thats a cool sound that reminds me of Pantera's Dimebag Darrell and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello. And just when ya tink 'tis over, a rampagin' ruckus lap of honor is had via that amazing outro! It feels so good, and theres enuff deep grooves going on to flatten and plough through a large bog the size of Connacht.
Man I love Drew's transformation in music he listens to
This album is too good 🔥
It's groovy ,it's heavy,it's technical, it's a damn masterpiece!
I’m a HUGE TOOL FAN and it’s hard for me to listen to anything else but them. But man this album is soooo good. I give props to Gojira and their banging album 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Agreed! 100%
You’re one of them.
@@poolmaster18 my thought exactly hahaha
tools boring
@@aidencantrell8534 I like them but I just don't understand people who say "i'M a MaSsIvE tOoL fAn So I cAnT lIsTeN tO aNyThInG eLsE", imagine comparing everything you hear to one band. Considering they're psychedelic sounding some of their fan base are very closed minded😂
Literally sounds like a Pantera song. Love it.
Oh yeah you should react to some Pantera haha
Their pinch harmonics sound as close to Zakk Wylde as you could get without being Zakk Wylde! Awesomeness!
Hell yes! I'm glad you managed to upload it
The epic album of gojira💚🏅
My favourite song from the album!
The whole songs good, 5:57 reminds me of old Gojira love it.
It sounded me like backbone at the first time
that last riff sounds straight off way of all flesh
i think hold on is my favorite, but into the storm is really tight too !!
Mario in the verses be like: pamparapam papa pamparapam papa PAAPAPAPAP
Very Gojira riff pushed far timewise with not a lot of place to breathe, creating frustration but leading towards a Good melodic chorus to release the pressure. Good outro too. Nicely done.
this song is insane
As a french fan I was really disappointed 'bout L'Enfant and Magma. Here Gojira comes back to this unique Heavyness they have the secret for.
GOJIRA- THE TRAILS. DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Requesting "Origin of Escape" by Monuments on every video til it happens - DAY 28
This new Gojira album is so sick.
Chunky funky!!
This song is Dimebag & Vinnie Paul all over, especially the bit around 3:00
Yep damageplan leaped out when I heard the riff
Sheeeesh
Drew you react to some Sabaton, definitely different from stuff like Gojira and Meshugga and not as heavy, but they have some proper tunes lad.
Seconded
Gotta react to The Trails
VACUITY 2010 LIVE
Power Trip - Divine Apprehension
Power Trip - Hornet’s Nest
Power Trip - Crucifixation
Amon Amarth - War of the Gods
Amon Amarth - Free Will Sacrifice
Amon Amarth - Valhall Awaits Me
🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷😘😍👍
Hey you! Want some CHUG-late?
Only thing I wasn't a fan of in this song was the chorus. The rest of the track is super heavy, but the chorus is super melodic, but I don't feel it fits well with the rest of the track
Joe has said that the group was in a great place for this album.. and the joy they felt making it is reflected in a less dissonant sound. I love it, once I started viewing everything on this album through that prism.
