    Another option for people who already use Sketchup is a free extension called FaceSVG. It's a bit tricky to figure out the first couple of times, but once you get it, it's pretty convenient. I have subscribed to Shaper's Studio product, so I import the SVGs that I create in Sketchup and add the "instructions", like cut type (inside, outside, pocketing, guide), along w/ the depths, offsets and bit sizes...just to keep me honest when I'm cutting. It's a nice combo, and since I'm and intermediate Sketchup user, and design all my projects there, it saves a learning curve and some time.

      Nice, Paul, thanks for the advice. I don't know Sketchup or FaceSVG, so thanks for the tip.

    Also recommend Figma. It’s designed for digital graphic designers who build apps and websites. Also vector-based. And it’s both free and much more intuitive UI. Less clunky than Adobe Illustrator or other options.

      Thanks for the recommendation, Ben. I know Figma from work, but I would never have thought of it as a tool to create SVGs. I might need to give it a try if I have time. Thanks again!

    Great video my friend! Find someone amazing explaining how to use it? That’s exactly how I found your channel. 😁 Great explanations on how to go about finding or creating download le images to Shaper. I guess it all comes down to value for the money. Like Studio, and Adobe you have to ask yourself am I going to get my moneys worth for the cost. Do I produce enough with this tool to justify its price.? I’ve tried basically all except Adobe. I bound not justify the cost. I love Affinity. I used it to create a lake scene that I converted to SVG for a project. It came out beautiful. I purchased Studio, and love the seamless transition to Shaper. I wanted to create simple templates, and so far I find it worth the price. Great video my friend!

      Thank you for your kind words, Henry :D Yeah, I don't think there is the perfect solution out there, everyone needs to evaluate what value they get for the money, usage frequency, usage type etc. then go for a solution. I should use Affinity more, but then I always move to Illustrator, just because I know how to use it. One day I will have more time to test it out more... :D

    Great video!
    There's so many tutorials on SVG creation for Shaper Origin out there, but they're not up to Jenner yet. Perhaps you might do a video about how to do _depth_ _encoding_ in SVG using one drawing tool of your choice?

    • @Woodensoul
      @Woodensoul  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a great idea. But honestly, I didn't even know you can do the depth encoding in the SVG directly. Do you have any reference material about that? I am happy to explore this, figure out how it's done and make a video. Any pointers are welcome.

      Hi. Thank you so much for your kind feedback. Glad you find the videos helpful. Regarding Core Draw: I am sorry, I have heard the name for sure, but I have never used it, hence I didn't mention it.
