I’m all for this! This sounds awesome. I have the entire line of Moog semi-modular synths because I’m fortunate enough to be able to afford it. I think those of us later on in life that can afford it should support the innovators like Moog, and anybody that’s younger and trying to express themselves through music should have a way they can afford to do it. Thanks to Moog and Behringer!
Shameless is to criticise Behringer for trying to give us possibility to get a affordable good instruments that only collectors and few rich can afford, Moog's vibe was killed by Inmusic takeover and the nail in the coffin was to move the old plant to a skyscraper, we move forward, and should not join the haters, but be thankful to Uli, Patrick, Dan and developers and staff for their effort. 🙏 Behringer ❤️☯️🙏😃
A used grandmother is like $700… behringer has synths more expensive than that lol. Don’t mind the cloning of out of production synths that are thousands of dollars on the used market, or twists like the Deepmind was on the 106, but this is both unnecessary and boring.
@@Eli_B3000 totally! I’m not saying that you shouldn’t buy it if it’s what you can afford and what you want, I was responding more to the assertion that it’s “shameless to criticize behringer” - it’s not shameless and there’s good reason to frown upon the cloning of in production modern synths made by other companies. That doesn’t mean you can’t buy it and enjoy it ❤️
@@tenaciouscj I agree they have things they can be criticized for, but there are so many comments on every release about who the "real musicians" are and who is motivated to buy them. I buy gear from almost every brand and these comments for the videos have the worst vitrol and gatekeeping.
What is sad and really shameless, is the narrow minded criticism of Behringer for making good and affordable gear for all people, rich or poor what is bad with that, Now when Inmusic has taken over the Moog brand and moved the plant from the old facility they killed the brand so what is it to cry about, Much love 💕 to Patrick and Dan , Uli and staff thank you. As someone who has owned a matriarch for 2 years and sold it for emergencies, this is exactly what im looking for! The biggest selling point of the Matri / Gma was the Oscillator / filter combo. The matriarch filter structure was also rather annoying because you couldnt have just a hipass or low pass (without dead patching of course) so recently ive been longing for a gma as a replacement for that sweet sweet combo. I used my matriarch as a 4 oscillator GMA anyways sooo 🤷♂ You guys pretty much nailed the sound so I will not be buying a used Gma anytime soon! The addition of having the Hipass act as post processing instead of a toggle switch is also genius and the sub oscillator is a very welcome addition and if im being honest it looks like it has better quality control and would interact with a DAW better than the originals anyway
1 month more to wait, cant wait to get my hands on this one! The charactor and tone what a beast of a synth for your money.. gonna be hearing them tones in countless synthwave tunes in 24/25

@@MULTIMAN-MUSICLol. He’s saying that many, especially young people, have been priced out of the electronic music making scene. Sure there’s other affordable gear but most of the analog synthesizers are extremely pricey.
@@mutedsounds2k Good point. I for example bought a Nord Micro Modular back in 2006, all my modular needs are covered. It’s a fantastic sounding synth but guess what, it doesn’t give you a massive wall of Leds and messy cables to show off… it’s a tiny tiny desktop synth that used to be shipped in a VHS case!!
That's funny because all my behringer gear is cheaply built garbage that's in various states of disrepair a few years later. Perhaps you have little experience with real gear to compare it to.
That's funny, you said "all" your Behringer gear. If it was such "garbage" why did you keep buying it? Perhaps you have no experience in refraining from making bad purchasing decisions?
Damn it. I just completed my custom stand for my Neutron and Pro-1. Back to the drawing board. Of course, to complete the stack it would be lovely if Behringer would sell empty 80HP cases so I can add some System 100 modules in a 4-tier vertical stack (Neutron + Pro-1 + M15 + System 100)
Behringer, it has to be said, have only themselves to blame when it comes to most of the criticism. That said, their affordable and well made modules enable many to experience the great sounds produced by contemporary and classic synths at a fraction of the cost. I own a Moog Grandmother on which this new unit is mainly based, and I will be getting one of these as an expansion of that synth. For just over a quarter of the price of a Grandmother you really can't go wrong. As long as the build quality remains as consistent Behringer, in terms of product range, accessibility and affordable pricing, are in a league of their own.
Agreed a few steps in different directions and they could avoid a lot of the criticism, and they enable a lot of folks, like me, to get access to types of products i'd never touch otherwise.
That's a good way to do it honestly. It's not like they're making something as cool as a Grandmother. That's got a keyboard and big colorful buttons and everything. It's beautiful. This thing is another desktop unit that's the perfect size to tuck away and set on top of my main MIDI controller. I'd like a Poly D or, you know, an actual Minimoog, but I don't have that kind of space. I'm maxed out.
Im Loving Behringer its only making modules / rack modules instead of entire keyboard. This is long gone solution..it doesnt make any sense todays specially with small studios...Now you can have more than 6 of these within same space as 2 keyboars....and all these analog releases....makes me full of joy again..just use a decent Midi hub and one or 2 master keyboars / controllers for all of them
Astonishing, I’m sold! Not sure my Behringer K2 will be used much once I acquire this. This covers the monosynth territories I cherish most a bit better than the k2; inevitably there’s exceptions to that, likely doesn’t do the ring mod osc2 sound, or have the audio to cv pitch trick, some of the screamy resonance…. Ok probably will be room (sonically) for both , but this is the patchbay I really wanted , the VCF too, and 3-osc design. But surely this canabalizes sales of the Model D, no?
