Derek Duke actually. Russel Brower, the guy responsible for all grand orchestra cancer starting from Lich, also did a lot of good ambience for TBC. I guess they just do what they asked to.
i was 11 years old. home from school "ill" i had snuck off to the local shop to buy some chocolate. I had made a human paladin and instead of leveling in elwyn forest i went to the draenei starting zone and leveled all the way to 20 something in bloodmyst isle.. life was good.
This was a rare map to play in, many people disliked the quests and most just took a boat to elwynn asap anyway. Still though, these derelict zones were interesting.

And it’s a huge contrast to azuremythos actually. Only common thing is the mystery, the flute instrument and some relaxing background humming. But bloodmythos is a bit more mystery and alien
WoW had so much atmospheric ambience back then. Playing retail overwhelms me with droning and bassy orchestral music which tries to make everything huge and dramatic but rarely accentuates the zones with fitting ambience,
I think they did a rather good job with the Korthia music this time around. It's pretty ambient and atmospheric, the reason might be because of the same composer being a helping composer on those tracks, Derek Duke. Search "Korthia III Music - Chains of Domination Soundtrack" if you haven't heard it. I would prefer more music like this as well in the modern game, the Azuremyst music is just superb, and i think Derek Duke is great at this kind of music, shame he hasn't been composing that much since Cataclysm, but he still did amazing stuff like the Stormsong Valley music when he did make music. The orchestral tracks are nice, but they have definitely gone too far with them, The Maw being a great example, no offense to Grant Kirkhope, but those blaring horns are quite annoying.

At laaaaaaast!!! Favorite place. We often play on naga isle our role-play events. Music, ambience and whole atmosphere of Bloodmyst Isle are very suitable to play mystic, dark cults and etc.Thank you again!
Bloodmyst kinda creeps me out..anyone else? Just came across the place with my Worgen and seeing those infected deer shook me lol and the blood red water. Eerie.
I find it the most peaceful, quiet, warm, and relaxing. I still come back there to feel this spirit of calm isolation. it's like the edge of the world =) I sometimes feel the need to see Felwood too, although it's not a pretty zone.

I just recently fully went through this zone and it was fun. The BC levelling zones have still preserved that original design of quests and their pacing which is why it is nice to revisit them. The music and ambience really pairs well in Bloodmyst - it's similar to Azuremyst but you can sort of feel the corrupted energy of those crystals in the music. :D I love some areas for their more ambient and immersive music. There are some zones from MoP and Wrath that do it well too.

Your videos are amazing and so relaxing. I particularly like how they are videos and not just pictures. I find the NPC's fascinating to watch. Have you considered using Kingdom Come: Deliverance? The scenery is stunning, with nice weather effects and the NPC's appear to all have their own interesting routines.
Thank you! Unfortunately, I can barely keep up with World of Warcraft and a couple of other games, so adding something like Kingdom Come to the list would be unwise. I have dozens of games planned already and not enough time. I'm not saying no, but I'm not saying soon.
I want WoW to be on fire again! We need to keep this going best game ever made getting the expansion next month. It's all there the Horde the real enemies the true story to tell all of it.

If you have not experienced Vanilla TBC and Wotlk you never played real WoW. Classic is no option because the zoomers have brainrot and are no fun to play with.
TBC music has such a unique and wonderful feel to it. It feels so serene and ethereal, and yet so somber.

imo i think the color change alone to the thumbnail doesn't differentiate it enough, I liked the old thumbnails that have the music note

yeah this place feels so wonderfully isolated from the rest of the game. It's truly the quietest place which adds to the atmosphere.
