30 visually confirmed on the lots at 2 dealers in my area. Mostly SR5's
I switched to Toyota 23 years ago when I had to be put on a waiting list for the "in demand" new Honda minivan. 7 Toyotas later, not sure if I'm going to stay in the stable. When I go on a lot, I want to buy a vehicle and drive it home that day. A Soviet citizen in 1982 went down to get his first color TV. They said they could deliver it in the morning August 2nd, 1999. He replied, "can you make it the afternoon, the plumber is coming 1st thing."
You be a fool to pay that much money for a Tacoma or the Tundra

They are not moving in FL. The dealership right down the street from me has 108 as of right now

The dealership in Cedar Park, Texas still has a bunch of last year's models on the lot. We bought 2 Honda CRVs from them recently. I made a comment to the sales person about it, and he said they are ALL pre-sold. 4 months later I still see a lot still there.
I think around here the cost of living is pretty high, and people just don't have the funds like they use too. A 50k vehicle with little money down is around a 900 dollars a month, not including insurance. That monthly expenditure for 5 years is pretty significant.
I live a south FL and I have not seen anyone drive 2024 taco yet. Heck I’ve seen a few Tesla cybertruck and Rivian R1T truck more the new tacos
Lots up here in Oregon are filled with marked down Tacomas and Tundras.
im here in socal, i have seen exactly 2 tacomas on the road. One is my coworkers.
Same! I have had mine 3 months and have seen only two others on the road.
Hard for people to afford with interest rates and high prices.
They seem to be moving decent here in SE Wisconsin.
Agree interest rates are not helping. Hopefully trade in values are helping! I know that really helped reduce the price of my Tacoma.

Yeah. That thing turned me off immediately. I would pass no matter the price; it just looks dumb.
What doesn't cost to much these days? ..and the Frontier, which I looked at last week, isn't exactly free..compare them honestly and the spread is about 4G's. Not pocket change but not that much different all things considered. All the truck prices are insane on all of them.
Truth. Everything is way more expensive. When you apply % to the increases many things have increased more than the Tacoma. The price of my house had almost doubled since I bought it in 2016.
I live in south Florida and I have not seen any new Tacomas in area. I highly doubt is selling well. There is a lot of pickup where I live.
Prices are about to drop like rock

Better off with frontier
I can buy a 2016 Landcruiser with a V8 cheaper. I could outfit it for an overland vehicle and still be under 50k. I bring this up because I'm in the market for a truck or suv. There is no way I'd spend 50k for a tiny truck with an I4 forced induction motor.

way over priced. Plano got but of rich parents that would over pay trust me i know I use to live there in the 90s. There going to have a hard time selling both Tundra and Tacoma . Toyota has got away from the roots with the new upper management. 4 banger and 6 banger turbo's a huge mistake . We are already seeing the lemon buy backs are the auction.
All the mid sized trucks are going to turbos except for the Frontier, I believe. Don’t know about rich parents overpaying but West Plano is a nice area so Toyota and Lexus dealerships in the area probably do ok.
Time will tell and folks will vote with their wallet when it comes to these things. For Toyota customers and shareholders, Toyota engineers better have it right since they’ve basically moved all of their truck engines to turbo charged power plants. What’s concerning is the increasing number of reports that the new Tundra turbo.6s are blowing…ie, the early results don’t look too promising.
Agreed! I am not saying their pricing is spot on, but the 4th gen is really improved in almost every way so I cannot see it not being a huge success!
auto loan debt is the highest ever I think 1.5 trillion dollars. why would you pay 50K for a tiny Tacoma they used to be so inexpensive

@@blakespower I like Mazda's. In 2022, I was looking to buy my daughter a Rav4 Hybrid and they just could not be found. Got her a CX 5 Premium and we love it!
Tacomas are selling but the Tundras aren't. Who are you kidding? Neither one is selling. If you believe that, then I have some ocean front property in Arizona you maybe interested in.
Don't take my word for it. Check the sales numbers, they are public information. And I already own ocean front property! Tacoma was the top selling mid size truck in Q1.
junk 2024 trucks.. that turbo is burning up within 5k miles LOL
