I purchased the same white majestic. I was doing baby blanket in corner to corner. It was like bedding that got frozen on the washing line its thats stiff. Its meant to be for my friend, her daughter expecting twins in Australia. Im gonna have to start again. Not buying majestic online again. Dont know what your getting its so hit and miss.
Majestic wool/yarn is actually the remainder of a run for various companies, it could be Sirdar or Pato or any other acrylic made in the same factory, a wool shop owner told me, it can be very frustrating xx
I got lovely white sparkle yarn at bargain stores and knitted baby cardigan with bobble a dress and boootees with three balls and half ball left for few pounds just smashing
What a difference…maybe mislabeled …terribly frustrating. You should not have to keep it . They’re probably ‘cutting corners’ . Usually a new label says , “ different look , -same great product” NOT in your case. I’m sorry. Lovely other projects . ❤xx
Hello Sheila, sorry they changed the yarn on you or perhaps it has the wrong label?? I noticed on a UK web site it says sometimes that Majestic yarn has incorrect labels. Take care 🇺🇲❤🇬🇧
I was looking on Google and apparently its King Cole that now makes Majestic. They must have bought the name so it might be an idea to contact them to confirm. If they do then maybe they can answer your questions about it including the content ingredients...Worth a try Sheila ❤ 😊xx
i have bought a lot of Majestic Sharon and it has been mislabeled, some D.K. should have said 4 ply but was still lovely wool but this last lot was absolute crap so hard and stiff even when washed and using softener...

It's amazing to me that you can keep so many patterns and sizes in your head, and work on them at the same time! ❤
i just look at all the different things Bobbie and instantly know what sts i have to knit must be like photographic memory lol..

it does say that joyce i have a few with wrong labels but has always been lovely to knit with until this lot..

King Coles Majestic is not the same one Jan, the other one Majestic is the brand name that's used for that wool, King Coles is entirely different..
