A lot of people keep saying this game is terrible compared to Arkham Knight. While I agree on some level, I do think the boss fights here are WAY better.
Can’t even compare the games.

Yea the regular fights are super fun but no parry makes boss fights kinda eh
Their is a parry system it's called time your dodge and get a perfect attack this game does not hold your hand you've gotta learn the mechanics and the timing.

At least they are consistent. Sure he came back but with the Lazarus Pit existing i was sure he would end up alive. I mean he kinda did, but that was so he got to do the heroic sacrifice thing. And with his incineration there is no way to bring him back anymore (as established)
Except they do cause HE IS THE BATMAN!
If there was a Lazarus pit why didn’t they help mr freeze save his wife?
Unless he somehow survived that crash
It makes sense because in the beginning batman dies and in the end bruce Wayne dies as heroes

The clayface fight was such a drag, so little openings to deal damage. Final boss I struggled so much because I keep getting hit by the standard Attack pattern. I was frustrated that I can’t dodge them wth.
sick dodges, I was still getting hit when i fought her though (probably has something to do with 30 fps). by the way some of her attacks don't have indicators but you can perfect evade them, did it a few times on accident.

I was considering buying this game, but then I saw how long some of these fights were and I think I’d be bored and upset trying to beat the game

To be honest I find it better than Batman: Arkham Knight’s VA, believe it or not. The VA for Batgirl in Gotham Knight’s give me vibes to Ashoka Tano from Star Wars.

Something felt really off about the bike escape in the Clayface bossfight and I couldnt quite say what but then I realized that its the missing speed. They just added speedlines like in a cartoon or anime instead of actually making the bike go fast

Ok so like side note i know the villains in gotham think they about to do some world domination stuff but what do they really think is gonna happen when their rabble rousing spills out of gotham do they really think they gonna be able to beat idk green lantern or flash let alone wonder woman or superman? Mad goofy why they not just good boys and girls
I prefer Robin. He can play dirty tricks by slingshot from distance.
The game's combat system is nowhere nearly as satisfying as that of the released Arkham Batman games. In-fight defense mechanic is mostly dodging, no parrying and countering. What's more, dodging here is simply jumping out of the way; interactive dodging + counter for a more immersive combat experience is totally lacking.

I see you've never had the privilege of playing Dark Tomorrow, Batman Beyond, Batman & Robin, or The Rise of Sin Tsu. That being said, while there are worse games, I'm not gonna give it a pass either. Whoever thought loot grinding in a Batman game would be a good idea needs to be fired (probably were trying to emulate Marvel Avengers, and well...we all know how that went.) And how do they go from Arkham's combat to this? Arkham had a really nice flow and this is just janky and busted by comparison. Hopefully, WB is taking notes from this on how not to do a Batman game.

@@manic_misfit9722 Loot grinding isn't a problem, that's only preferential. If looting was bad, then the recent assassin's creed games wouldn't be making the most money of the series. The combat in this game can also have a very nice flow(once you level up A LOT) but I agree that the Arkham series has waaaaaay better combat. If this game makes a lot of money in the end then WB isn't going to care what other people think.🤷♂️
