It’s not necessary to dampen your hair or apply products before bleach. When your hair is wet, it’s in a more fragile state. Also, if your hair is wet, it won’t lift as much as if it were dry. Bleach eats through any product you put on your hair. So any conditioner or oil you’re using is useless.
Just something to think about if you decide to bleach again.

Thank you ! I am a licensed master cosmetologist as well and from my experience on myself as well as my clients using conditioner actually does help as barrier so the lightener won’t be as abrasive on the hair vs without & this is my 3-4 lightening session so that is exactly why I wet my hair prior to my lightener application so I can maintain the health of my hair, always my first priority.
