Already 33 years now when they hit the airwaves. Remember it playing as early as late 1990, but every time I hear the song takes me back to early 1991. I was already 14 can still remember everything that was a part of the 90s besides Freestyle music. I think of that time, kids I grew up with. Some are gone, some are married with kids, some of us lost our way only to find our way back. But really, takes me back to the moment I'm chillin in my room talking with a friend who was close like a sister. Wasn't till this song hit realized I liked her more than just as a friend, she felt the same. Yet nothing happened after the revelation, it was all on me. Never pulled the trigger cause I was too focused on other options. One regret I have to this day was never saying and showing how I truly felt. Lesson learned. This song is deceptively hard to sing - I’m not even sure who could even do it justice today. This era of music was packed with staggering l talents.
Not to brag but Some Filipinos can sing this easily. If you go to the Philippines, you'll hear people singing Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, Journey songs and many others which are way higher than Stevie B's when it comes to voice range.
