My favorite part was by far the Level 9 Weedle fight. I especially liked the part where they couldn't kill it with a critical peck, so they did it with 2 non-critical pecks instead. And then when they took 2 critical Poison Stings get knocked down into redbar? It was so good!

"Bulbasaur is the worst starter" You can tell they are playing it differently than a normal play through. Otherwise, Bulbasaur is the strongest starter, as he is effective against more gyms and more of the story based battles in the game. So.....
When they say worst starter, they mean because of the starting battles. Not because of his effectiveness against battles as a whole. Bulbasaur is 100% the hardest to START the game with, but quickly gets really good later on.

Something that can be done on a lot of the classic cartridge based systems, because of how "close to the board" the game is running. Modern games have multiple layers of systems that filter the players input. The Matrix game for original xbox had a console that allowed ace on the console itself.
The game was originally made to be Gameboy only. The Gameboy Color and all devices that try to give the game color only could do a few colors at a time. This was seen as a huge step back in the day.

You have to admit though, that they should've stopped after around Gen 4. After that, you can tell they were getting desperate with ideas, even recycling animal species like dogs & cats, and even turning trivial inanimate objects into pokemon.
