Just hasn't progressed enough to get a game after looking ok last year. You sense he's on the outer with Hardwick. Getting both GWS boys will push him further down the pecking order for early next season so it might benefit him to go elsewhere to get regular games. Would be ideal in the trade with GWS if he wants to go there. It's disappointing that the Tigers haven't really nailed early draft picks in the last 12 years: Conca, Lennon, C Ellis, Higgins, CCJ, RCD, & Dow were all busts, balanced against D Rioli, B Ellis & Vlastuin.
It is fair enough I think, given that we are on the chase for Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper from the giants it would be beneficial for us to trade Riley Collier-Dawkins. I am always a bit heartbroken with players leaving Richmond but then again, I wish them all the best for their upcoming future.
I agree, but a full squad of 42-45 (or whatever it is) can't squeeze into a squad of 22 +1 emergency every week, so a lot miss out. There is some good talent in that 20+ that Richmond has, but VFL every week it may be.
@@aa-au Yeah, I feel that our list is aging a bit as well. I have a feeling that is a good idea for the tigers to probably get some more fresh and young talent. There are still a lot of quality players for Richmond but the overall team lineup can't stay like this forever.
Such a cut throat game big time AFL. But you have to take advantage of the system when you are in the position to attract the top players. It doesn't last that long .
I think Richmond has to let go of this younger talent that are not getting games and get some experienced blood. But you don't want to be like Geelong and have good talent and then not win any premierships for the last 11 years. Maybe 2022? We'll find out in about 10 days time.
Unfortunately I'd say it's a done deal if he can be packaged up in the GWS deal, and with Adam Kingsley in charge the cards may fall that way. It's a shame as I saw a big future for this guy.

Happy to trade rcd out and a few others if it means getting the other deals done.

Sorry to see anyone leave but I don’t think RCD is good enough to make it..I hope I am wrong
