Now, however, for the Official series he's set to be played by Amir Talai because Viv loved his cover of the song and sent out a casting call once she heard it

It made sense for the Charlie comparison because they didn't use the "Inside of every demon is a rainbow" song for the musical VA comparison, since the clip has her new VA sing for the majority of the scene. So Elsies' name didn't need to be included, just the main actress.

Blake has a phenomenal singing voice and since their voices are so similar it’s literally just a pro. Now the cast feels more professional. I feel like people are more caught up in nostalgia and them liking the voice ACTOR but not actually realizing they’re nitpicking.
Brightman can do a completely different voice, he has some special condition/thing with his vocal cords. Fizzarolli uses it, it's the same thing he did when he was in Beetlejuice! He might use his normal voice for Sir Pentius. You can check how Brightman sounds in most of his musical roles (really like him in School of Rock!) compared to Beetlejuice. Night and day, he even used his normal singing voice for a gag in Fright of Their Lives in Beetlejuice. It's around the middle of the song that he gets his little soliloquy

Other interests from the hiring company chove the new VA's... this happens all the f*king time in animation industry, but just because Hazbin was a indie startup, they got the blame for it. I really can't get over the way Blake says "Oh, she's dancin'..". It's so weird how a sentence as innocuous as that is funny to me purely because of the way he delivers the line.
Angel Dust in a nutshell. Definitely one of those characters where everything he says is gold. That's why everyone loves him so much! Great line reads and great script, very human timing to everything too like it's spur of the moment. Kind of like Robin Williams.
I am sad they didn’t bring back Stamper and Michael, but their replacements are phenomenal. The voices add so much to the characters, I’m glad they put so much effort into finding good replacements. Edit: I had no idea Stamper had so many issues, I was just a fan of his VA work and animations when I was younger so it was cool seeing him in a current project. Knowing what I do now, I can see why they had to replace him.
After hearing Paranoid DJ's songs with Valentino and Vox, I really enjoyed the way he presented them even though we didn't get actual voices in the pilot. I'm hoping that the 2 actors playing them will have the same sinister tone I'm expecting. fingers crossed!

Charlie's new voice- ✓ Vaggie's new voice- ✓ Angel's new voice- 50-50 Nifty's new voice- ✓ Alastor's new voice- 50-50 (Heard him singing and it was good) Husker's new voice- too deep and kinda miss the Rick version (sound)
I think Alastor's will be fine. We just haven't seen him with the same enunciations yet. When he gets in character and is saying Alastor things he'll sound much better. (At least I think so)
I personally love Husk- I’m just really a fan of Keith David and he always 10/10 job for voice acting. I do admit it is deep but I have hope for the best.

It's not Jill Harris I'm going to miss nearly as much as Elsie Lovelock. Charlie's original singing voice is as character-defining for me as Angel Dust's original speaking voice. I hope I'll get used to it, but replacing those two was always going to be a hard adjustment for me.
i think kovach is literally THE voice for angel dust. he was soo perfect i thought with the show being done by a24, the original vas would at least still be working with the show. it;s incredibly disappointing to see that they aren't. especially after vivzie went on a twitter rant about supporting up-and-coming vas when specific ai-related drama was circulating,,,also especially given all the stuff kovach was doing on the side (like the whole angeldust music video). i don't know, this one feels weird.

Ah, well I just lost interest in HH. I can't help feel this this show got Disneyfied and they had to swap voice actors to get some big names instead The first three really feel like they become a lot more AAA generic and lost their iconic voices
I'm glad they were able to find people to match the original VA's. It's a shame that they weren't taken on board, but at least their legacy will still live on, in a way.
Most of the new cast are Broadway stars, they were probably casted because they could sing AND act and the producers wouldn’t have to pay singing doubles for everyone

Edit: easily my favorite New Cast is Vaggies tho, Stephanie Beatrix cause she’s perfect for the role.
Daamn, Alex landed _two_ major roles in two different Vivziepop productions. Lucky bastard. He's Fizzarolli's VA in Helluva Boss, and has now been cast as Sir Pentious' VA in Hazbin Hotel.
I'm actually pretty hyped for the cast. I know it's sad the originals didn't get a chance to shine in this, but let's give the new show a chance! They sound pretty close for the most part :)
Edward Bosco said he was trying to sound like Amir(Al's new va) because that's who viv had always wanted to voice Al but at the time of the pilots creation she couldn't get him because she didn't have any connections

Michael Kovach made more sense for Angel Dust, he was perfect for the role Monica Franco made more sense for Vaggie Jill Harris and Erika Henningsen are about on par with each other honestly I liked Mick Lauer, but am curious how Kieth David could perform Christian Borle as Vox just makes sense Joel Perez is not the voice I expected for Valentino at all, though I am curious Michelle Marie made more sense as Nifty Stamper was perfect for the role Edward Bosco and BlackGryph0n were both really good picks, though if Talai really was who Vivzie based the voice off of, I'm REALLY curious with that one TLDR; all of the old cast was just fine, shame they got replaced. I am a bit curious for some of the replacements, though admittedly, not all. Really wish contracts didn't force some of them out of their roles, though I understand that's not the case for them all as well
Amir Talai's accent is just so fascinating for a Persian guy It is a matter of pride that an Iranian is the voice of the most popular character of Hazbin Hotel 😍

Well, I think he will do mainstream work someday because I heard him on Twitter saying he would love being part of the Sonic the hedgehog franchise in some capacity. I think he would be perfect to voice Sonic in any project where Roger Craig Smith doesn't voice him, because I remember when I heard Michael doing a good impression of Sonic's voice in Twitch.
I HATE each and every new voice. They are all terrible. Just, terrible. I am really debating watching hazbin even after waiting so many years for it just cause I can't stand the voices.
I'm sorry, but a few of their voices are just so stuck with me that other people taking over displeases me, and you can clearly hear the differences in their voices. That's throwing me off, and I don't like it. That's not to say that the new people are bad at their job or anything; clearly, they have talent, but I just don't see why so many of the voice actors had to be replaced. Actually, I do corporate money all that stupid. s*** anyway hope the original voice actors are doing well and that the new ones do their characters justice.
I completely understand the reason this is happening, but…I’m still gonna miss the hell out of the pilot voice actors. I know the new actors are all gonna kill it as these characters but to me, Michael Kovach IS Angel Dust, and Edward Bosco IS Alastor (who btw is not his singing voice in the pilot that was actually Gabriel C Brown) and I know a lot of other people feel that way too. The thing that makes it even harder to say goodbye is if you’re a hunicast fan like I am, I feel like I spent so much time with the old voice actors to the point where they kinda became my friends, and they would say weird shit in the voices just for fun, so it sucks to not see them come back for more especially because I know how talented they all are. It’ll take time, hell it might not even take that long but I can accept that these are their new voices, I’ll just have to get used to it. They’re gonna do amazing anyways so maybe I’m just being a big old weirdo about it. Although I very much hope that one day there’ll be a Hunicast with the old and new voice actors, even though it’ll probably never happen
I just gotta get this out of my system, I feel like Vaggie’s old character design was a lot more charming? I’m not sure if that’s the right word. I just like her old clothing ALOT better. There’s so much red and black everywhere. She kind of stood out with her soft greys and pinks. Maybe it’ll grow on me, I’m just not a huge fan as of now. However, animation wise, they may have changed things up to be able to move her character more smoothly. I just wish they had stuck with the softer colors pallet. I just had to go whine about it somewhere. It’s not like it’s gonna keep me from watching the show or anything.

Husker's new voice- too deep and kinda miss the Rick version (sound)
I think Alastor's will be fine. We just haven't seen him with the same enunciations yet.
When he gets in character and is saying Alastor things he'll sound much better. (At least I think so)

Agreed. And her new VA sounds wayyy too... Disney. Like i get it if that's what they're going for but to me it isn't really appealing. And the way the whole recast went, esp for Michael and Bosco, still leaves a bad taste as it is.

It's not Jill Harris I'm going to miss nearly as much as Elsie Lovelock. Charlie's original singing voice is as character-defining for me as Angel Dust's original speaking voice. I hope I'll get used to it, but replacing those two was always going to be a hard adjustment for me.

i thought with the show being done by a24, the original vas would at least still be working with the show. it;s incredibly disappointing to see that they aren't. especially after vivzie went on a twitter rant about supporting up-and-coming vas when specific ai-related drama was circulating,,,also especially given all the stuff kovach was doing on the side (like the whole angeldust music video). i don't know, this one feels weird.

Most of the new cast are Broadway stars, they were probably casted because they could sing AND act and the producers wouldn’t have to pay singing doubles for everyone

I have no doubts that Brightman will kill it as Sir Pentious, but hot damn if I’m not gonna miss Stamper in the role. Stamper just has that “high society on coke” type of voice that’s perfect for Sir Pentious.

TLDR; all of the old cast was just fine, shame they got replaced. I am a bit curious for some of the replacements, though admittedly, not all. Really wish contracts didn't force some of them out of their roles, though I understand that's not the case for them all as well

It's impressive how I honestly *cannot* tell the difference between both VAs for Angel Dust. I can notice Vaggie's very well and there are just _suuuuuuubtle_ details with Charlie that give it away for me. Well, I think he will do mainstream work someday because I heard him on Twitter saying he would love being part of the Sonic the hedgehog franchise in some capacity. I think he would be perfect to voice Sonic in any project where Roger Craig Smith doesn't voice him, because I remember when I heard Michael doing a good impression of Sonic's voice in Twitch.

I HATE each and every new voice. They are all terrible. Just, terrible. I am really debating watching hazbin even after waiting so many years for it just cause I can't stand the voices.
I'm sorry, but a few of their voices are just so stuck with me that other people taking over displeases me, and you can clearly hear the differences in their voices. That's throwing me off, and I don't like it. That's not to say that the new people are bad at their job or anything; clearly, they have talent, but I just don't see why so many of the voice actors had to be replaced. Actually, I do corporate money all that stupid. s*** anyway hope the original voice actors are doing well and that the new ones do their characters justice.

I completely understand the reason this is happening, but…I’m still gonna miss the hell out of the pilot voice actors. I know the new actors are all gonna kill it as these characters but to me, Michael Kovach IS Angel Dust, and Edward Bosco IS Alastor (who btw is not his singing voice in the pilot that was actually Gabriel C Brown) and I know a lot of other people feel that way too. The thing that makes it even harder to say goodbye is if you’re a hunicast fan like I am, I feel like I spent so much time with the old voice actors to the point where they kinda became my friends, and they would say weird shit in the voices just for fun, so it sucks to not see them come back for more especially because I know how talented they all are. It’ll take time, hell it might not even take that long but I can accept that these are their new voices, I’ll just have to get used to it. They’re gonna do amazing anyways so maybe I’m just being a big old weirdo about it. Although I very much hope that one day there’ll be a Hunicast with the old and new voice actors, even though it’ll probably never happen
I just gotta get this out of my system, I feel like Vaggie’s old character design was a lot more charming? I’m not sure if that’s the right word. I just like her old clothing ALOT better. There’s so much red and black everywhere. She kind of stood out with her soft greys and pinks. Maybe it’ll grow on me, I’m just not a huge fan as of now. However, animation wise, they may have changed things up to be able to move her character more smoothly. I just wish they had stuck with the softer colors pallet. I just had to go whine about it somewhere. It’s not like it’s gonna keep me from watching the show or anything.
