"I don’t think you understand. These boys killed my dog."
John Wick: "I get it."
JOHN WICK COPIED BOB LEE
I get it too.💯
John Wick approved
I love Michael Pena. He doesn't get as much credit as he deserves.
Wait woot? He's as great as the protagonist himself imo.
i guess you want micheal to PENA trate you then? kekekekeke
Check out Crash, one of his best movies
He is good actor many different roles he needs a movie fit a script he is truly
Theres 2 movies he did after this movie , one was a Netflix special where they were all living good lives but had flashbacks of a war and then theres an attack and u realise that these people are actually AI that took over an killed humanity an what was left of humanity were attacking , and theres that movie with the 2 cops , prob my fave cop movie, but I can't remember the name🤣
“I don’t think you understand, these boys killed my dog” ever since I watched this in junior high I’ve loved that line
And then pair that a few years later with Walberg playing Marcus Luttrell (Lone Survivor) who then, a few years later, makes a chilling 911 call while he's actually pursuing the a-holes who really did kill his dog.
Remember they killed John Wicks dog too and look what happened
That's the feds signature, more so AFT than the FIB.
and so began the story of baba yaga
It became a meme with me and my friends whenever we wanted to say "no really" about anything
"Victim was punched multiple times and signs of struggle all over"
"Mustve been suicide chief"
Clinton style
There was an incident with a police station where the chiefs friend was part of a drug ring. One of the officers went to confront the chief about it at the chiefs home, he was found the next morning less than a block away from the chiefs house with a gunshot wound to the chest and they ruled it a suicide.
All I can say is that those punches wouldn’t have time to heal and bruising before you die leaves very distinctive marks. Those weird drugs were probably still in his system and in suicides they usually do a tox screening which would show traces of some weird substances. The most telling bit of physical evidence would be the obvious lack of a powder burn on the side of the head. A suicide usually involves the gun being placed in the mouth or right against the temple or side of the head. Both locations leave very distinctive powder burns that without seeing them would be a red flag to most coroners. The odd entry angle of the bullet would also be a red flag. In a suspicious death like an FBI agent suicide they would have an independent medical examiner do the post mortem. The bruising and physical injuries would indicate he was beaten up, the odd substances found in his fluids would indicate he was drugged. Finally the lack of powder burning in the head entry wound, the powder burning on the bullet and the odd entry angle would indicate he did not shoot himself. They would find the death as probable homicide. It looks even stranger if the ME turns up dead too
Yup, thats been the fate of many who have gone against the grain with the government. If you don't think the gov erases people who dig to deep into certain subjects you are an idiot.
@Dick Mountain This, they’d definitely have someone that would overlook it, bury everything and none would be the wiser.
Michael Pena is an incredibly underrated actor. He was outstanding in this film.
You don't understand. These guys killed my dog.
“I don’t think you understand, these boys killed my dog.”
Before John Wick, there was Bob Lee Swagger.
Good movie. Love when the FBI agent says " I'll take his legs", he realized if he went back he would be in the same harness the next day with a different group of killers pulling the rope.
What?
@@tee4946 He means that Michael Peña's character realized he couldn't turn himself in or rely on the government to help him, if he did, he would be in the same situation again but this time they would succeed in killing him.
True.
@Apostolos Ginnakidis sense no make at all you.
@@Erin-Thor Because it's a bot.
"You know i missed a meeting today. where i was gonna get fired for unprofessional conduct, because i was kidnapped by people who don't exist" that is still the best coming to terms with the reality that "the system i work for is fucked up" i've seen in a movie so far. No 2nd guessing, no additional questions. Just realizing the facts and answering "i'll take his legs". Absolutely gorgeous scene.
The bad guys never learn not to kill the protagonists dog.
YEAH.... they have to learn that.. seriously
Bad guys learns that if they kill the dog they die by a pencil
I remember in the Kick Ass sequel, Mother Russia asks if she should kill Jim Carrey's dog and The Motherfucker says, "Jesus Christ, I'm not that evil!"
SPOILER ALERT. Netflix movie. 'In a Valley of Violence'. They never learn.
@Sovi the Disastrous
Naw. Very different from John Wick. And this came out long before Wick did.
I love that brief moment of levity and comedic relief right after he's given the option of helping or not. It's not a "funny" movie, but that line really works there.
It definitely has its moments of great humor, especially the "Good coffee?" and "Still got the shovel !" lines at the old man's house.
“You don’t understand. They killed my dog.” The Shooter was John Wick before John Wick.
"I get it." - John Wick
F John Wick. Keanu Reeves couldnt act his way out of a wet paper bag and make it believable.
Before John Wick there's this guy who got pissed and started murdering everyone whose involved in the death of his dog.
And this wasn't his first time going on a rampage of revenge either.....
Sometimes a dog is just that important to you!!!
Bobby Lee Swagger
I’m taking John wick over him tho no doubt
It's because of the viewers psychology. If a hero starts doing villainous things because they've been wronged, the viewer will say the ends don't justify the means.
But if some kills a defenseless and innocent dog......... we want to see everyone involved dead.
This has got to be Mark Walhberg at his best!
All the lines are so crisp and to the point!
Wahlberg was really good as an ex-military sniper. This movie never lags for long; there's a lot of action scenes and even when it slows down, there's still relevant conversation to keep your attention.
This was a great movie. Enjoyed the hell out of it a few times already.
if it wasnt for the name of the main character :D
@@monkeytown1239 Would’ve still been good
Book was even better !!
I have an older mate. He's like 58, he's getting very bored of action movies. Says there's only so many times you can watch a guy called Jack or John, jump over a fence and disarm someone and knock them out with a special move before it gets real dull. So he really likes realism in his movies. He was very impressed with Shooter. Said it's probably one of the most realistic movie he's seen in terms of ballistics and how the action unfolds.
I have seen this movie numer of times. Never get bored. Great movie.
Ah what they did to the Boeing guy
Also the Clinton's first chief of Staff. Ruled a suicide but I don't think so.

Corporate security firms do it all the time. Eric Prince made gazillions.

"I don't think you understand. These boys killed my dog." -Bob Lee Swagger
This never gets old, always entertaining
Yeah , especially when he realized I was gona die by the people that don't exist. Yeah I'll take his legs. LOL Sometimes you just gota learn to choose a side that can help you survive in a law-breaking way but at least you have a chance to get justice or clear your name
O
I love how there can be gratuitous violence, including several men getting shot in the head by a sniper, but better censor the word "damn".
Society is a joke
LMAO!
I was thinking the same thing.
The censor was for the word “asshole”, but I get what you mean
It's moronic beyond description.
I love how they bleeped out "@sshole", but show 2 men getting shot in the head and the other in the back. Such great moral perspective
Murica's weird...
hollyweird v. reality. let that sink in.
welcome to the United States of America.
TH-cam censors
That first shot is one of the all-time great movie surprises. I play it over and over.
The bad guys should stop killing dogs
They dont learn do they. 😂
Because when they do they can expect ruff justice in return.
That’s a good call Pork
Definitely didn’t work in John wick
I know, it never ends well
"So... Do we throw him off a bridge and say he jumped?" "Oh no no no... You see, we tie him to this Rube Goldberg contraption to make him shoot himself..."
I would tend to agree with you, but if you can make someone shoot themselves in the head you can guarantee that he is dead.
You don't want someone surviving jumping off a bridge when everyone said that he did.
It also kind of tides into the whole stereotype of doing something so crazy for real that even if you were to tell them about it they wouldn't believe you.
Very very effective.
If a specific person walked in on Ronald Reagan in a fairy dress with some lipstick on, and that person tried to tell anybody he actually saw that... Good luck getting anything other than a laugh.
@@crimsonfox87fluxule62 And you can make sure the body is found. Jumping off a bridge, there's a chance of no body showing up.
And "THEY" left the bay doors open so anyone passing by could look in. A plastic bottle would never work as a suppressor. And neither is a .22 LR squirrel gun capable of dropping people like a sack of sand.
AND no optics on any sniper weapon will let you read a Dinty Moore stew can at a mile.
And in the interrogation room he takes the rifle puts the round his buddy hands to him in the chamber points it at HIM not the wall and pulls the trigger.
"I always take the firing pin out when I clean it."
Moronic beyond words. What if "THEY" did ballistics tests on it and put the firing pin back in.
I could add more but that's enough.
My lady (thank goodness) won't force me watch these idiotic Hollywood action films with her anymore.
@@JBliehall LOL yeah, I saw this crap on cinema when it came out and that scene in the court or something where he loads the rifle, points it at a judge or DA or whoever it was and fucking pulls the trigger and went something like "the firing pin is missing your honor" had me rolling my eyes so hard I looked at the back of my skull from the inside.
This movie isn't happy with getting JUST the technical gun related stuff (how ballistics/suppressors/optics/etc work) wrong, it HAS to have their characters behave like morons...
@@blalolblalol True. Stay safe and happy.
James
"That's a good call, pork"
Love that line
If they were trying to make it look like a suicide they shouldn't have beat him up like that.
True
Chances are, it wouldn't have mattered. Yeah he would look like he was beaten but there wouldn't have been any evidence to link anyone to it and the case would eventially go cold or get buried.
In reality they're even sloppier, Gary Webb who exposed the CIA's involvement in the introduction of crack cocaine in America was shot twice in the back of the head and it was ruled a suicide
Also Jonathan Luna a federal prosecutor stabbed over 30 times with a pen with wounds across his body including his scrotum and his car dumped in creek was ruled a suicide by the FBI they don't give a fuck they know they can get away with it
Cough, Epstein, cough
I don't think you understand, These boys killed my dog.
Best line in the movie
I saw this in the cinema when it came out and the suicide harness is the only part that really stuck in my memory. Something like this is bound to exist.
believe it.
It doesn't exist because it doesn't need to. The amount of "gun suicides" in American politics that are obvious murders is ridiculous. Left handers using their right, even to write the note. The police and the judiciary are all on the take so why bother with something that extravagant? They can act with impunity.
Probably gets it’s inspiration from what the Clintons had used an some of the 52 people involved with them to include Secret Service who committed ‘suicide’
The thing is the suicide harness might exist but if there's obviously a signs of like exertion like the fact that he's trying to pull away if you do that a lot it can show in the body that you were trying to pull away so that might look suspicious on like you know an you're putting all your mind into pulling the gun away from your hey you might actually pop something or leave some strain on the so yes it might work but it would be like the guy said stop struggling might actually make it not usable unless it's like a small town
@@will1223141I’d read your comment, but it’s the size of a large paragraph with zero punctuation, which tells me you’re a kid who has no clue.
Antoine Fuqua's movies are all gritty and intense. This was another great one
Haven't seen this movie in a long time now. Great movie. Time to watch it again.
“I’ll take his legs”, always cracks me up!
One of my most favorite movie lines ever!
"These boys killed my dog"
Bob Lee Swagger walked so John Wick could run
Michael pena is such an underrated actor...he is so good
I really like it when Nick's facial expression changes and he says, "I'll take his legs"
That's a great camo job... he's totally invisible when he's standing up in the boat in the middle of the lake.
I think it was meant to conceal his face/identity. Not his presence.
I know right.
I was under the impression he needed to camouflage to get to the boat. Kind of sneak in without being seen then smoke those assholes.
I couldn’t see him at all!
With a plastic bottle "silencer" that he could easily rip off with his hands yet the expanding gases out the muzzle of the rifle and the supersonic round going through it won't dislodge it...
Ahh the OG "they killed my dog" and the "I missed a meeting where I was going to be terminated, because i got kidnapped by people who dont exist." Yep... I'll get the legs
I almost thought my scene full of red mist and brain matter splattering was going to be interrupted by BLASPHEMY. Great work at 0:50!!!
This film is a Masterpiece. “Exactly.”
That last part was perfect. The governments/state should recevei a message "EXACTLY" in today's world.
This movie is magnificent
You should watch the series with Ryan Phillipe. Even better than the film
I feel like this contraption would leave many bruises and contusions from the victim trying to resist it it would make the whole thing look super suspicious
Also why did he beat himself up before shooting himself.
True. Although that might be explainable by other things happening depending on the situation. But one would probably start seeing a pattern of bruises in investigations if one has seen more than one of these situations with these screwed up devices.
Works for the Clintons every time.
also it would leave no blood splatter in the sleeve it is attaced to, making it seem even more sus
Not to mention the shots to the stomach at the end, and he was overall beat to hell.
Michael Pena was fantastic as FBI agent Nick Memphis.
"Shooter: You're gonna shoot yourself" sounds like a theme park ride based on the movie.
2:12 Really? Why would you ever kill someone's dog? It's like asking for the wrath of God to come down on you.
*Wrath of Wick
Tell that to the American police Google that shit they kill dogs all the time
"They killed my dog"
Dude was John Wick before John Wick.
I swear this move is one of the best ever... Need to see the next one coming out
When he realized I was gona die by the people that don't exist. Yeah I'll take his legs. LOL Sometimes you just gota learn to choose a side that can help you survive in a law-breaking way but at least you have a chance to get justice or clear your name
John barnett brought me here, RIP brother
"I'll take his legs..."
"That's a good call pork"
For those that don't know, "Pork" is a derogatory meaning for anyone overweight in the Marines, especially for people like Swagger who need someone in good shape watching their back. Spoiler for those that haven't seen the film: Swagger does warm up to Memphis before too long.
I don’t get this line. Is it a metaphor for something?
Pork, porky, fat.
Damn first time I saw this neck brace thing was one of the most eye opening moments of my youth. This whole movie was.
“I don’t think you understand, these boys killed my dog.”
John wick intensifies
"Do not kill me please, don´t kill me" ....... Wasn't it obvious that he was trying to help you?
"I don't think you understand, these boys killed my dog".
I like the movie, but if you've read the books like me, you'll come to the conclusion that Bob Odenkirk would have portrayed the much older and tougher character better.
This scene has me wanted to rewatch this lol "what kind of a**hole would think up a thing like this"
Have you not researched any of the MKULTRA documents? There's all kinds of stupid shit, similar to this
If it 1 thing I learnt from movies is never kill a mans dog especially if you're planning on being the bad guy
Watched it last night, highly recommended 👌 👍
They're staging his suicide, two people get shot in the head... but you can't say "goddamn" without a beep.
Get a grip.
NEVER. EVER. KILL SOMEONE ELSE'S DOG.
or Cat, ... bcz Guys with cats Know How They'll be thought Of as sissies and the revenge is bigger even after the perp is dead
I never tire of this scent. I mean, scene. Because, Whoo!
"What kind of asshole would think up a thing like this."
Great line!
'?' Works better than a period, but I agree... best line in this scene.
This movie was so cheesy with stereotypes that I wanted to use that thing on myself after watching this.
One of the best scripts in the business. The acting and photography ain't bad either.
love how he just pulls the bottle off the end of the gun...
yep the soda silencer works again & It Didnt even Fall Off between the boat landing and walking around the shed to the rope cutting Musta been special made.... :)
He went John Wick before John Wick. All because they killed his dog.
Thank you for censoring the curse words. I dont think I could've made it through this without that
That is some elaborate, complicated and unnecessary contraption that was designed to make it appear as if someone shot themselves lol Thats some James Bond super villain levels of overthinking things.
Everything starts with the dog being killed.
This movie was amazing because there are people in this world that can shoot from a distance like that in real life....
Standing up, in a fucking dinghy?? What planet do you live on man?
Some people can still do that.

The TV is meh on the other end with the solotov story
Well okay, but his dog better not die.
Not sure why Mark Wahlberg didn't come out with Shooter 2. I Ioved this movie and Mark played the role to perfection.
What would be the story line?
The boy was in a tight spot.

John wick anyone?😂
I dont think people understand this movie is just a documentary on how the government works now.
Swagger: I don't think you understand, these boys killed my dog.
John Wick: *silently nods in agreement*
They killed his Dog so they all have to die... seems like shooter beat John Wick to the entire plot of the movie...
kidnapped by people who dont exsist,,that whole block of dialogue is funny as hell
*"I don't think you understand, these boys killed my dog."*
John Wick understands...
He used a water bottle as a silencer. Now that is creative. I never knew you could do that with a sniper rifle.
U can use a potato however water bottle will not work.
@@Creques However, he was shooting .22 long rifle ammo with a plain .22 rifle that he borrowed from his best friend's widow.. Those aren't that loud to start with. A plastic bottle actually might work with those. Though not well. lol
If it had been an actual sniper rifle shooting things like .223 or bigger, yeah. That bottle wouldn't have done a thing.
It wasn't just a water bottle, it was stuffed with some kind of fabric or insulation
I have done this personally, a .22 cal long rifle with subsonic rounds through a plastic bottle filled with a soft absorbing medium. It can get so quiet that you hear the sound of the guns action and the slap of the bullet hitting the target. Everything has to be sealed a little bit better than what the movie makes it look, but it does work. It also has very limited amount of round you can shoot through it before it just doesn't hold it in anymore.
I didn't remember this scene and I have seen the movie twice
So much darkness in this scene

When Nick Memphis said "I'll take his legs." He really meant "I'm in!"🤣
- Let's kill the prisoner quickly.
- No, best use an extraordinary, long and complicated method of auto-execution...
I mean they're trying to set up the angles and ballistics as a suicide but the director kinda forgot about the bruises the punches would leave.
I'm pretty sure this actually happens
Antoine Fuqua is underrated as action movie director.
Superb Acting. "I'll Take his Legs" Brilliant!!! The Presentation Worked
I love how the bad guys just expect that the cops won't think anything of the beating Peña took and how he probably has some ligature marks on his arms or torso from being restrained
It’s a movie!
"It's a movie"
Also, cops can be in on it to. Conspiracies can always go deeper. They can either pay the cop off to ignore those details or more likely tell them precisely what happened and note that the same can very well happen to them.
