    Arnie Kim is the best Bruce Lee sculptor ever (until someone would do awesome 3d piece). I got most of his too but no special painted like yours.

      Thanks and yes he is. I first seen Arnie’s work in 2003. At this time nobody knew who he was. He was making figures by hand and painting them. This was 3 years before Enterbay. His original handmade figures are the best. I have most of those. I have all of the Enterbay, Hot Toys, Blitzway, Storm Collectibles mass produced stuff.

    He improved massively between then and 2013 when he made the iconic GOD 40th anniversary statue for Blitzway, which I think is the most accurate Bruce Lee figure or statue ever made. These are definitely pieces of art for sure but not as accurate in terms of his likeness as his blitzway 1/3 statues. Of course it's difficult to get thr most accurate sculpt when you're working at that scale, that's the downside of 1/6 scale in general.

      @@loughrey101 I agree but also disagree.
      I’ve been a fan of Arnie Kim’s work since 2003, a time when really nobody in the USA knew who he was.
      I can tell you he’s improved in some areas while in other areas the original handmade figures from 2003 stand the test of time. You must see all of his original work.
      The GOD Blitzway I believe is his best mass produced work but you must see his other original work in person. I have most of his handmade work and all of his mass produced work.
      Example his 2015 handmade Way of the Dragon is not even close to accurate compared to his 2003 sculpt.
      I have his 2003 GOD 1/6 sculpt and that is better than the GOD Blitzway. There is so many that you haven’t seen as they are rare handmade sculpt from 2003.
      His Entebay Way of the Dragon can’t compare to his 2003 Way of The Dragon.
      It’s like in the very beginning his was on figure in terms of likeness. As he got to the companies he did make improvements but the same time the sculpts weren’t the same. He was losing his passion to sculpt Bruce Lee and some has nose that were too small but there was improvements in the hair sculpt and wrinkles in the skin. Now he doesn’t even sculpt Bruce Lee anymore and only focuses on Indiana Jones and Superman mainly.

      Thanks 🙏 these are from 2003, 2004, 2005. All limited to 20 ~ 30 pieces each. They were very expensive and extremely hard to find. Arnie hasn’t made these kind of figures for close to 20 years now. He did work for toy companies making mass produced figures in the form of high end toys… but the ones in this video are handmade limited artworks by Arnie..

    • @jkdart1940
      @jkdart1940  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I was expecting it to look like the prototype but they changed the sculpt portrait. I’m also not satisfied with the paintwork and the poor haircut on the bust. For $4,500 they could have done better.

      The Infinity Studio one looks nothing like him. massive disappointment. It's very like a real person and that's impressive, but it looks more like a Bruce Lee clone actor like Bruce Li from the Bruceploitation movies of the late 70s than the real Bruce Lee. So not worth the price. The pose also isn't great and his arm sticking out makes it a massive space hog. I considered getting it and was very excited but when I finally got to see it, I was really underwhelmed
