@@XploreTheEarth Yes sure, I wanted to ask one question. We are planning to go to Dayara Bugyal in the first week of May. So can we find a little bit of snow there on the summit, or there is absolutely no snow in the month of May there
@@aseem_kelkar_ We don't think there will be any snow in May. Snow starts melting by end of March and by mid April it should have melted completely. So very rare chances of seeing snow on this trek in May.
Hey, we did it in the month of November. Even though during our time, we did the trek with guides, it wasn't mandatory. But I think, recently a mishap occurred and they have made it compulsory. Not a 100% sure though. As for permits, this link should help: www.tourmyindia.com/treks/uttarakhand-trekking-permit.html Hope this helps.
Hey, we went towards the end of Autumn. It was mid-November. You could go immediately after monsoons if you want to see lush greenery. Or in winters for snow. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much! We are in love with the beauty of this place too! 💛 As for the terrain, till the time you are leaving the Raithal village, it will be concrete, then for the better, it is going to be rocky/hard surface. Then towards the end, you will find yourself hiking in a bugyal. 😀
Not compulsory to go with guide, however Uttarakhand Government permit is needed to trek this, so it is better to go with a guide to make the process easier. However you can check if you can manage a permit without a local guide as well from the local permit office in Uttarkashi/Raithal near the base. The permit wasn't checked anywhere for us on the trail before or after by any rangers or officials.
Hey, it would really depend on if you are doing DIY or not. If not, are you renting the tent or not? Or any other requirements as need be? Otherwise, if you are carrying your own food and tents, then you do not really need to spend anything on the trek itself other than the permits. Hope this helps.
Thanks Pranay! Glad you liked it! We went in mid-november last year, it usually autumn and beginning of winter then, however, this trek offers different views all round the year!
Glad that you liked the video. Yes, we are in love with the drone shots too! 🙌 We didn't take any permissions since our guide told us that it should be alright. Though, I still recommend that you do it at your discretion. 😅
Hey it really depends what is it that you are seeking. Monsoon bring the greenest of meadows. Autumn brings the most clear skies and now winter will bring you the snow. So, best time would really depend on what is it you seek. Hope this helps. 😀
We did it in end of October. The cost for us was quite low since we were marketing the organiser. It should cost you about 10k to do this trek. And I would recommend that you do it with Tripsaa, or else the popular ones like India Hikes, TTH or Bikat.
Hi Gouri, thanks! 1. We did this trek in mid-november (autumn/beginning of winter). 2. NH150 should be more than enough for this trek. We also had NH100 among us, football trainers and regular sports shoes - all of these worked as well (there was no snow back then) Hope this is helpful! Stay subscribed 😊💛
Hey Debanjoli, we ourselves have completed the trek in the month of November. That would still be autumn, so weather wise you shouldn't be having any problems. And in general, this trek is relatively easier than other treks. As long as you have a basic level of fitness, it should be a breeze. 😀 Hope this helps.
So, when we went in November 2021, the permit was to be obtained from the forest department to be able to trek. However, you could call on Parveen Bhai (Ph. No. 89703 08534) to learn if it is required anymore or not. Hope this helps. 😀
@@XploreTheEarth Thank you for responding. I wanted to ask something regarding the trek. Can we do both Dayara and Gidara Bugyal treks in 4-5 days? And if yes please let me know the details, I'll be thankful. Btw loved your video, keep up the good work.❤
Glad you liked the vlog! We did this trek in the month of November. Autumn is generally the time for clear skies and the best views. But this trek just as well can be done in other months too. In winter, it is covered with snow. And during monsoons, you will see the lush green side of the meadows. Hope this helps! 😀 Stay subscribed for more such videos! 🙌
Yeah, yeah it absolutely is. Summers would offer you some of the best views you can get on the trek. However, note that the bugyal won't be as green and you might not see snow either.
