Hi, I am looking to go on a trek in the first week of April. Please suggest the best one between, Kedarkantha, Deoriatal Chandrashila and Dayara Bugyal. This will be my first trek.
@@ananyajain8528 Hi! I went for Deoriatal Chandrashila and it was a remarkable experience. As per the knowledge that I gained, let me share with u - Among the 3, chandrashila will be the toughest i guess as u need to walk around 16km on the 2nd day and on 3rd day we started at 2:30am in order to catch sunrise. The last summit push is a bit challenging. In april u might get snow on chandrashila and tungnath but not on the other 2 days. U will get to see a lot of rhododendrons which is an amazing spectacle nd a sight to behold. The forest sections r some of the greenest forest i have seen in my life Also our guide told us Kedarkantha is too commercialised and over crowded these days so better avoid it. If u r lucky, which we were.. u will get to see clear 360 degree view of the himalayan ranges from chandrashila
Guyz when you think.. Restrictions to travel intracity will subside.. People are facing troubles even with neg covid test to enter Himachal.. Thank you for lively videos 🥰
Hi Anand, Yes. You can witness the meadows covered in snow late December. In fact, till the end of January is a good time too. If you want to avoid crowds, you could go during late January.
Hello India hikes...my father is 83 years of age...he walks 4 to 5 kms every day...he has no major health issues. He has a dream of doing Himalayan trek. Can he do any easy trek in Himalayas,can he do devria taal chandrashila in April or naag tibba in February...or can you suggest any one and can you provide a tent with bed while camping if it's possible
Hi Hitha, February is a very good time if you want to experience winter snow. The landscape again changes colour when draped in the white snow. Soft, powdery snowflakes loosely hang from pine trees offering a tinge of Christmas-y feel. Perfect for snowball fights and an experience of snowfall if you’re lucky. However, snow raises the difficulty of the trek by a notch. So, prepare well if you are going in winter.
Hey Sandip, there hasn't been much snowfall in the last couple of weeks there, so the snow is venting away and not getting accumulated. You might find snow but full blanket of snow is unlikely for the coming days. Hope it helps. :)
Hi Sumon, we haven't received any news of snow right now at Dayara Bugyal. But it has started getting really cold. May be not heavy, you can expect descent amount of snow at the end of December.

Hi You can do the trek on your own - the trails are well marked. You will get permissions from the Bhatwari forest office. You could also get your permission from the forest official at the start of the trail. If you don't find the person, just ask around - locals will help you out :) About trekking in winter - check our website to see if our batches are running or call us to find out the snow conditions - if we are running the trek then you can go ahead confidently.
