The scene with Eren and Hanji throughout this episode just shows the contrast between the situation at the beginning of the story and currently, Eren used to be an eager learner and willing to help the survey corps as much as he could spending the entire night talking about titans with Hanji and now with his curse of knowledge and frustration to help his people a comedic scene being Hanji making fun of his "Tatakai" turn intense so fast. Erens character development is climbing and Yuki Kaji is doing an awesome job at portraying his frustrations as ever

I think Eren is one of the most amazing main characters and I’m going to explain it now. First of all the way he feels and reacts to his bizarre environments just like a normal human would is very realistic. First off he starts off as a very young and idealistic teenager with a stubborn/rebellious but optimistic personality. His first ambition is sparkled by Armin, he can’t simply stand living without freedom, enclosed in the walls. Eren is a character that has a typical Shounen mindset, but lives in an unforgiving and cruel Seinen world where not everything goes your way, most often than not you don’t have a power that can easily solve anything that’s powered by mere motivation/ friendship. His mother is killed because of his incompetence. His friends were killed because of his idealistic optimism. He’s even betrayed by the same people he trusted. And his anger towards the Titans made him reckless and ignorant to the real problem behind it all. He turns out to be a titan, and for the same reason people dont trust him and even hate him, and later on because he is a titan, he’s also a target for the enemy spies. All this amounts to unimaginable regret, burden, and responsibility for 16-year-old boy who is just overwhelmed by his mothers death and desire for humanities freedom. With all the people dying to protect him, he learns that he is not the one who is important, only his powers are. People are not dying to protect him, but his power that is needed for the freedom of Paradis. And for this reason Eren has no ego for the power he was given, in fact, he even mentions just being a stupid brat, and that he was a mistake. That he was not the right person to behold all of humanity‘s faith. His power ironically is taking away more from him than it has given.
Why is he a great character then? Because of the way he reacts to all the circumstances is realistic, and not what people want from a main character. The moments when he cries are all logical, like when his mother dies, when he is betrayed by a brother like friend, and when he realizes all the burden and regret for being a titan shifter, and all the sacrifices and hardships that are to come because of his power... He cries on the scene where Hannes dies, because he realizes how weak he really is, his idealistic personality constantly gets shattered by the cruel reality of his world; because all he has worked for the past years meant nothing when he was standing right in front of a friend and watching them die. And he still had the trauma from when his mother died and that he swore to avenge her by eradicating the titans. He cries when he was about to get eaten by Historia because he realizes how incapable of saving humanity he is, because he realized how his fathers sins carried onto him. He cries when Levi says he will not inject the serum in Armin, because he knows and even acknowledges that Armin is the one who will save humanity not him. He understands that he was only fueled and blinded by hatred back them, and that caused people to die because of his recklessness. he also laughed after hearing sasha died and her last words, because he knew that because of his actions, a close friend had died and that he hadn’t changed. Eren is a character that is written with a lot of detail, he reacts to his environment and is shaped by it A LOT. He’s consistent because his ideas, his desire, and his personality traits are maintained throughout the story, and cause him to fail all the time.
Eren has lost so much but he holds and keeps on fighting because he is what humanity needs to succeed and find freedom. Despite all the crap he goes through, he’s a character that has exceptional development, his transformation as a character comes after all the realization and all the pain. And in that last beach scene, he doesn’t even cry anymore. He realized that the enemy was the entire world, and that it was inevitable that they would come and try to kill Paradis. He accepted the fate and knew that the world was cruel. His line “hey, if we kill them all, will we finally be free?” was in a melancholic and depressing tone compared to his optimistic, energetic, and ignorant self from the past where he only wished to kill titans.
Eren is probably the furthest character from being perfect, but that’s what makes him soo good. Like I stated earlier, even though he has an amazing power, it’s nothing like other shows where they get through it all good. I find it very ignorant that people are quick to judge and don’t even take the time to consider and understand the characters just because they are fictional. Calling him a crybaby without understanding all the psychological effects that lead him to do so is very stupid. People expect a lot from main characters because it’s believed that they are the best in the show, and that they would get through everything. That’s why Eren is so good, because he is not an amazing person, and he needs to rely on other people and shows that trust and bonds are important. Even though he is one of the most flawed characters in all of anime, his flaws make him so credible and realistic to the actions he takes. Especially in this last season, you can see how much Eren has changed and how his attitude towards the world has changed. I think that Eren has had some of the most character development in all of anime from being the eager kid who wanted to kill Titans due to his own desires, to being a 19-year-old male who knew how cruel the world was.

This analysis is just *chef's kiss*. To me, Eren is also one of the best developed and written characters. Well written characters don't have to turn out "good" per say, they just gotta show outstanding logical shift in their perception or in their personality. And yes, I always have praised AOT's writing in that it's realistic, even in it's totally unrealistic world. The characters are people. They see hell and get traumatized, they can be selfish, self-preservative or let emotions get in the way of their choices and thought processes, it's all so very real! Hell I don't even consider Eren to be overly flawed (I won't go too deep since I'm a manga reader), all his actions make sense to me, given the severity of the situation. Just like Roshi and co said, he's running out of time and there is no hope for peace so far. The only people who interacted with them did so with incentive of resources and the entire world is using them as a common enemy to maintain peace. Yeah, it's heartless to consider using the rumbling and it won't make anyone see them as anything other than monsters, but when it comes down to it, it's either you or them. It's either live in fear and by the skin of your teeth until the whole world decides to accept you for who you are, or push back. I think that's why Eren's unravelling while talking to Hanje, because he feels an urgency and pressure than others cannot since they are not the ones with the literal power to save their existence. I feel for Hanje and Connie and co, but this is the reality Eren is facing within. It's a downright sucky situation all around. One that cannot be clearly dissected or decided which side is right or wrong, not without going thousands of years into the past and analyzing every move Eldians and Marleyans have made. And to me, that's what makes this story so GOOD.

Yes Annie is aging but in terms of numbers , she doesnt physically look like she's getting old but shes still aging and her term is also decreasing, and the shell shes in is for protection and it also helps keep her alive even thou she doesnt drink or eat.

That’s the thing y’all are not getting, nobody else knows what Eren was thinking in his head, and his head was down so they didn’t see his face, all they heard was him laughing. nobody knows that he gets hysterical except for Mikasa because she was only one that seen in season two, Connie has every right to say that because nobody knows what’s going on in Eren‘s head, all they seen was somebody laughing after they told them their friend died, its crazy how NO ONE sees or understands that. 🤡
