And that's why it would be a great fight. They're both incredibly similar. They analyze their opponents as the fight goes on, with Steve's enhanced perception and Bruce's detective skills. They don't rely on one specific style. They switch up everything on the fly. Steve's able to beat people who can mimic or counter his moves, and Batman has beaten physically enhanced super soldiers (Deathstroke)

Critical point that has been overlooked: Captain America is also trained in using normal guns. His shield being his main weapon does not mean he will not use other weaponry.

I remember in the Marvel vs DC event in the '90s, they agreed they were so evenly matched, it was pointless to fight.
Expected from Steve, but I think it was the only time Bruce was so humble, lol.
Bruce admitted that Steve could eventually beat him, but asked if he really wanted to.
On the other hand, Cyclops has beaten Batman twice.
It was funny for me looking back at a lot of the 90s DC/Marvel crossovers and seeing just how often they liked pairing up Batman with Captain America like they're the ideal counterparts for one another. They were not only shown working together in DC Versus Marvel but also JLA/Avengers and their own standalone crossover story.
To be fair they spent most of that crossover being the only people in either of their settings to hold the common sense ball and literally work together to figure out what was going on.

In both cases there was mental manipulation of their fellow Justice League and Avengers team mates. Batman and Captain America
being highly mentally disciplined, were able to resist. You would think that had a seasoned Green Lantern such Hal Jordan also been
present versus Kyle Rayner, he would have used his superior Will Power, to also overcome mental manipulation.
Just watch out for when he throws his mighty shield, all those who chose to oppose his shield must yield.

There's actually a crossover comic where Batman and Captain America team up to fight the Red Skull and Joker. Turns out to be what kills Captain america in that specific parallel universe.

@@MultiversalWiisdom The Hulk will be tricky. Even if you target Bruce Banner, his intellect and willpower is nothing to scoff at, and he can't be killed. And there are all the different hulk personas, and Hulk himself, which each are formidable in various ways. Both Bruce and Hulk are hard to plan for due to their incredible intellect, and unreconcilable strength. Plus both sides are wild cards.

Well, to be fair, cap is the superhero embodiment of America, the country with the highest military spending in the world, the strongest military in the world, always seeming to have some secret weapon up their sleeve lol
These 2 fought in the Marvel/DC crossover back in the 90's. After several panels of back and forth punching and kicking they 2 of them were overtaken by a torrent of water I think. Cap was somehow knocked unconscious by the deluge but Batman managed to stay conscience and saved Cap. After Cap woke up the 2 of them essentially called a truce and agreed to stop fighting.

I love Batman, my favorite comic book hero second only to the Hulk. But unless he has some serious stuff set up ahead of time and gets him to walk right into a trap, there's no way he's taking Captain America 1 on 1...

Batman takes it with research and planning. Cap wouldn't bulldoze him in a sudden encounter but he comes out standing in the end.
The problem with trying to neutralize the shield is that Spiderman already did this in the Civil War fight in the comics. Cap knew Spiderman would try to take it out and planned for it, which allowed him a devastating blow to Spidey's ribs.
That would be cool to see Captain America helping Batman on Gotham City to get minimaze crime scene in the Gotham (or that a crossover where have a nice wholesome meet up between Captain America and Superman being the heroes of hope), since Batman and Captain America did fight in the 90s Marvel and Dc comic where both of them are equal on the hand to hand combat skill

In the comic series Marvel vs. DC, Batman did indeed fight Cap and win using similar tactics to this, though neither wanted to fight each other since the situation was manipulated to pit them against each other.

I forget where I learned this years ago prob at least 20 about captain Americas shield but it has long been forgotten and retconned. But it was shown Caps shield was a blend of Vibranium and adamantium which was only possible becouse of a small piece of a metal that was found from an alien spacecraft that scientists said had crashed but was never fully found. This metal had unique properties very much like Terminator 2s body. After years of working with it they figured out it was the only thing on earth that when in liquid form could actually combine and adhere for good Adamantium and Vibranium into a very unique metal under the hottest temperatures they could create in a lab. Well, thats what I remember and thats what i have chisen to believe to this day

The problem with mcu cap is that he's portrayed in a very clean way who doesn't kill doesn't use lethal attacks doesn't use weapons . Remove all these conditions and cap would most probably win

These are fun, but i feel like this story would play out like Batman's lack of a contingency plan for Green Arrow. Seperating him from his gimmick doesn't take away all of the edge because Steve is a very competent fighter and techician.
I just have wonder why this would be necessary. Some of these don't make sense, unless it is just a case of Batman simply being the most supreme fighter, at which point we need a contingency against him.
