This would be hard. budget-wise. However, similar quality of smooth rendition of model is already being used at the recent idol anime. the movements of "bones" and "nodes" of the model were not perfect, but ideally smooth to not pass. Love live! started using 3dcg during the performance parts during the era of u's. on the otherhand, Idolm@ster retains its glory through 2d animation of performance, their game counterparts have very good models in game (ML/CGSS). Aikatsu's redition improved too during Stars!, the same goes with other shows like Show By Rock (not really an idol), pripara, AKB0048, and many more
