- Is longer better? That is the burning question on everyone's mind these days, and that is what I am hoping to answer in this video series, what will show more results, 10 and recharge? or 20 straight? And will it be enough to make more grit worth it? I roll em! You decide!

Well this is going to be a fun little experiment! Because if people can stretch their grit out longer, and not have to recharge as you say, it will save a heck of a lot of money for people who do a lot of tumbling. That grit is expensive, especially for those that tumble constantly! Thanks HCH. This will be interesting!
What a great experiment ! I can not wait to see what happens in 2o days from now. My prediction is that the one that does not get recharged will be quite muddy but if they look the same as the recharged barrel who cares about the muddy grit. Could save a lot of $$$
This is going to be interesting. I've run a barrel for 2 weeks once and when I opened it the sludge was like thick pudding. Great experiment.

I'm betting that you are right about the grit being spent, I would say after 10 to 15 days, and needing to be rinsed and need new grit put in to run again. But we shall see!👀😊 Also, I didn't know if you noticed the The Rock Shed sells 46/70 silicone carbide. Either for tougher material or to use on material with a lot of jagged edges. It just knocks them down and rounds them a little faster, plus uses a bit less grit in the long run. It is a type of plume agate, a lot of the plumes look like flowers that's where it gets it's name. Beautiful material. Thanks for sharing HCH!✌️🤠🤘

Looks like you have a minor fascination with rocks there HCH… I wonder if you placed them in the barrel and said Ker Plunk when loading then if it would make a difference??
