Anderson Paak music always has a comedy/sarcastic undertone - I truly enjoyed this song. They called her an around the way girl without using derogatory words. He said he I gotta give you back to the city - lol. Oh and when Anderson Paak was lying dead on the floor, I was so weak. I love this collab.

It's a comical homage to the 70''s groups of the past while keeping it modern using the term "she belongs to everybody" she's for the streets and touching on what you just said Oran' Juice Jones. Silk sonic is what would have been if Michael Jackson and Prince started a band while there songs were written by the The O'Jays.
Yeah, his name is actually, Oran ‘Juice’ Jones, not orange, but I remember: ‘Now close ya mouth cause ya stone cold busted!’ 😂. That was more like mid 80’s. The genre they’re reppin here is more like ‘mid to late ‘70’s, actually predates disco, but with a twist of other genres mixed in & fresh. The groove of this tune reminds me of Jackson 5 Never Can Say Goodbye, but many of that group concept is there in the style: Chi-lites, Delfonics, Temps, O’Jays, 5 Stair Steps, Isleys, etc.
