      Just remember colorado is like California if you drop your wallet kick it over next to a building BEFORE you bend over to pick it up. If there is a little bald guy with girls pants on wathching just leave it and walk away

    Thank you so very much for not including the town in Colorado I'm moving to.
    It's a quiet but fun little paradise within walking distance of one of the towns you mentioned.
    I wouldn't have known it existed had I not stumbled across it by accident.
    Like the locals there told me: "It's a secret that keeps the goblins & trolls from invading."
    Thankfully, they confirmed that I'm definitely not goblin or troll material.

    This was the most enjoyable display and discussion of the Colorado front range cities -- well done!! I lived in COS for 5 years spanning 1987 - 1991. I love COS and miss it very much, but had to leave because the technology jobs were shrinking. I would love to have a second home in COS. I miss Old Town, the restaurants, the Zoo, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Woodland Park, Cripple Creek, the people, and even the winters. Just writing about it makes me "home sick".

      The pandemic made it such that I now have a fully remote job and now seriously considering relocating to Colorado Springs from Orlando. While I don't hate Orlando, my family does not like the beach that much and we only occasionally go to the theme parks these days. Additionally, the climate is only agreeable for about 3 months out of the year (Winter) but that's when I'd rather be skiing - otherwise, I'm basically stuck inside with the A/C running nonstop. And, I think my family is ready for some place new to explore - Colorado is centrally located within the country - so not a horrible drive to many destinations.

      @@JasonTaylor-po5xc This is one of the reasons we decided to make Colorado our forever home (and I moved back here from Texas). It's nice to live in a state with actual seasons and times of year when you don't have to run the A/C. Thanks for watching!

    Wife & I lived in Gleneagle, just north of the Co Springs city limits for 9 yrs. We were actually closer to Monument, a legendary mining town. Loved it. Our son & family lived in Castle Rock, a fast-growing city between Co Springs & Denver. Awesome town. I'd avoid Denver unless you love crazy traffic & all the other trappings of the largest city in the state.

    • @JasonTaylor-po5xc
      @JasonTaylor-po5xc ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I'm considering everywhere along the Front-range. I think Pueblo is a bit far from Denver for my taste - I might need to occasionally travel for work so reasonable access to DIA is needed - but beyond that, I'm fully remote. But, the housing everywhere else along the Front Range makes Pueblo a tempting consideration.

    Wait, on the preview slide that’s not a picture of the front range, is it? I guess what irks me is that all this media about Colorado is mostly about the front range but all those scenic mountains views are in the western slope. Yet that’s hours away from where most people live, on the plains.

    • @HashtagColoradoLife
      @HashtagColoradoLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! The thumbnail photo is a picture of Durango, which isn't on the Front Range but it's not on the plains either. However we have loads of beautiful scenic mountain photos from the top of Pikes Peak, San Juan mountains, and the Foothills all along the Front Range!

    PBS says Colorado Springs will be one of the worst cities to live in in the next 10 years in the USA. RE: drought.
    Fire danger is high. Insurance is high. Housing and general cost of living are high.

    • @HashtagColoradoLife
      @HashtagColoradoLife  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      And despite what PBS says, there will still be people who live here and are drawn into the area. The things you describe (minus mother nature) sound like growing pains that just about any major city will have to run into at some point.

      Colorado is still affordable to me, so I think it depends on the situation and the perspective. Yes, the prices have definitely increased over the years, but that has happened everywhere.
