Prime the shy is unbeatable. He has a wide pool of champions and he masters them. He can outplay you either using a tank or an adc champ. Champ literally got nerf because he played them so well. I miss that the shy.
That version of TheShy never left us, it's IG itself that has changed to a degree where TheShy can't adapt. ThShy has always been playing like a double-edge sword, and the reason he isn't punished so hard before was because Jackeylove in the botlane was also insanely strong that you can't just invest your resource camping one side of the map while ignoring the other half. Every other ADC after Jackeylove was simply not able to put out the same amount of pressure to force enemy jungler and mid to camp them. Basically IG's Trident strategy can't work with even one spear missing, and Jackey was the missing spear in this case. (On top of that, he also had Ning predicting and reporting enemy jungler's movement for him, something that junglers after Ning failed to do. Ning may have his flaws, but his jungle awareness is definitely world tier)
I used to be a die hard fan iG. But after TheShy went to Weibo Gaming (Former Suning Gaming, runner up in worlds 2020), now I realized that I'm only TheShy Fan. Rooting for him this next season.

He would still have a good chance play in Worlds. It's kinda sucks FPX IG and RNG all starting going down hill after what they have achieved. I once really hope that IG could achieve the Glory SKT have reached but now it seems very hard with Jackylove going to TES.
If i learn something from the past 3 seasons: 1. Jungle is always the MVP, if not the mid (sometimes top, but if the mid is really bad and the top player is an ex mid player, so you get it) 2. You need a good support that can roam better 3. ADC just needs to farm, and not feed. The meta is always geared towards mid and jungle.
TheShy joined T1! Honestly T1 did the right thing by signing TheShy as Topplaner...Shy's calculated aggression will work well with Oner (who is also a bit aggressive) and make T1 a more diverse and balanced team. Looking forward to the 2022 World Championship!

I still can't forget 2017-2018 The Shy, his peak was so high that till this day no other top gives you the same vibe, only Nuguri could come close. But just for my taste, The shy is the best carry top in the history. I really miss that version of him cuz rn he's The Shit :( xDD PD: I know Marin pretty much won 2016 by himself (Ofc the team played well it's just exaggeration) but he doesn't give the same vibe, I think because of his champ pool PD2: The Shy 2020 was really good too, he had the most solokills top I think, the highest amount of MVP's in the league and was selected in the LPL dream team that year, but IG couldn't classify to Worlds
I think TheShy's wrist injuries really hurted his performance later on in his career. His injury in 2018 was so bad that he even got permission to skip military service in Korea because of that. And this all thanks to the dumbfk IG manager they had at the time. Their manager asked TheShy out for a drink one night in 2018 spring, and on that night they had an arm wrestling on top of a trash can, and that's where the accident happen. TheShy was hospitalized and couldn't return to pro play for that important BO5 against RNG. If it wasn't for that injury, TheShy's prime might have lasted at least 2 years longer.
