Moustache Spy except Amnesia was a single player horror game with plenty of mods, SOMA is a single player horror game with a decent amount of mods, and SCP Containment Breach is a single player horror game with plenty of mods. There's also mods for games like Skyrim and all the Fallout games, which are single player, that add enough horror elements that it basically makes them horror games.
In other words, there's plenty of people willing to make and play mods for single player horror games.

i kept replaying grandma’s humming because it strangely reminds me of my grandma who passed away :) and Mark’s playthrough is definitely my favorite because he actually took the time to enjoy the game, not just play to win or finish it!

you know youve reached rock bottom when 4 shotgun shells is "a lot of bullets."
in both of my playthrough i never had more then 20 of them.. so 4 is something to feel really good about. lol
This isn't an action oriented RE game where you should have 100+ pistol ammo and 30+ shotgun shells at all times (RE4) RE0 which this game took a lot of its structure from had an ammo system that basically told you "shotgun shells are your savior bullets, please conserve them" so 4 shells is pretty good.
I mean.. right before a boss battle they give you ridiculous amounts of Bullets and Medicine.. but that's okay i guess.

@@materiagworl I'd put it at an 8 mainly because of the immense damage output enemies give, the lower amount of ammo and healing items you get, and the fact that saving requires you to find ink ribbons. I beat the mode but it was challenging no doubt. One of the hardest parts for me was the very first fight with Mia. You literally have to make every shot to her head count. If you miss even a few shots there's a good chance you'll have to restart the fight. If you attempt the mode I'd recommend watching some tips and strategies videos first. That's what I did. It's worth completing though because unlocking infinite ammo makes subsequent playthroughs even more fun!

Not gonna lie this game freaked me out and a game hasn't done that in a long time...the 1st person was the way to go. Between Jack chasing you around the house constantly during the first part of the game, Margerite and her gross insect battle. And Grandma just randomly popping up and disappearing outta nowhere. Her humming the games main menu song as you go up the stairs creeped me out.
It's actually perfect and Im glad re8 is sticking with first person, its scarier that way

Note to all players: shooting Jack or Marguerite unless you are trapped is the biggest waste of ammo (and health items). So it's better to just run from them.

I actually feel really bad for Travis... I usually don't much care for characters that are never shown on-screen. (Before dying/turning into a monster.) Maybe it's because he cared enough to try to save his girlfriend even when he couldn't save himself, and he died fighting.
@Lili when mark was in the incinerator (?) room, there was an incinerator (?) with the name travis on it. later on, mark finds a letter in the save room (i think) and it was from travis to his gilrfriend, courtney. he tells her that he wants to give them hell for what they've done to him and pleads for her to try and escape during that time. in the incinerator (?) room, daddy leaves a note for lucas, saying he locked travis up in one of the incinerators and that lucas could "do whatever he wanted with the girl (courtney)". so in conclusion: rape isn't that far-fetched as to what he did to her (considering the wording) and travis died while trying to get his girlfriend out. hope my essay helped lol.

Markiplier the black moist monster's don't respawn once you kill them but if you happen to run away from them before killing it, it will spawn closest to your proximity. kinda like teleporting. hope this helps 😄
also they only spawn in areas where the big black puddles of goop are so upstairs you don't need to worry about them being there but Daddy hangs upstairs area until you travel farther in game.

The real reason why I choose Marks play throughs on horror games is because he analyses the story as he progress things. Some other TH-camrs like Pewdiepie aka "The emotionless one" would just make fun of the game just for laughs.

Honestly Mark is the best gamer. He really helps his viewers understand what is happening and really does his research into why the things in the game are happening. But also, he is not all serious. He is also very funny but not annoyingly funny. He genuinely wants to play the game and figure shit out. Thank you Mark for everything you do.

Well it's obvious. Because at the beginning of the video you hear a song, and see that grandma standing up from her wheelchair. And remember how near the end of this video she's humming the same tune? It's foreshadowing the grandma, whether it be her or someone taking her over, plays a bigger role. The little song at the beginning clearly foreshadows this in the last shot where it shows her standing up. That's my theory anyways. Let's wait to find out! :)

Theory:
What if the fungus is/based on mycelium?
Mycelium is actually the base for mushrooms to flourish, by creating a "base" just a bit below the surface. It absorbs nutrients and will grow mushrooms as a result. But it'll grow farther out the more nutrients it gains. It can even connect with other mycelium colonies. They look like giant cobwebs in the earth, and some mushrooms can use their mycelium to attract ants. Then they "mind control" it with the mycelium and essentially traps it in place. It'll kill the ant over time and absorb its nutrients.
While the Biohazard fungus isn't exactly like that, it DOES have some similarities. The mycelium first starts by attacking the ant's brain. This fungus did the same thing, starting with Eveline. It slowly grew outwards, with the help of the Baker family. It took control of Travis and many of the others who turned. Mind controlled, just like the ants. Also, isn't it interesting that the fungus is black, of all colors? While mushrooms can be any color, black is a rather rare occurrence. If anything, it looks more like a dark purple. But this fungus is very clearly black. Mycelium, however, is pure white.
Think about it. Mycelium takes control of the ant, and it doesn't change it into something different, but it does end up killing it. The biohazard fungus, however, can do one of three things: 1) kill the host, 2) turn it and take control, & 3) it won't turn them, but it'll instead regenerate the body if harmed while keeping partial control over the host.
Mycelium is designed to kill, and if the biohazard fungus is based off of it, it explains why the most common occurance is death, then turning, then actual regeneration. They're trying to create a way for people to live forever, but the fungus isn't completed. These experiments are to finish it.
And you know why? To create superhumans who can keep fighting. Remember, this fungus can partially control the ones who gain the regeneration ability. If you have super soldiers who keep coming back, blow after blow, who's also under your control, then you have a perfect way to destroy a city or even a country.
