I feel the real reason that metal is loved by its fans and not so much a lot of other places apart from the "harsher" sound is the "harsher" subjects they choose to approach within their lyrics, you do get a few otp bands that just sing about satan and give the weird image but really most bands sing about relevant subjects on world situations, mental health, problems, etc. Sounds harder, hits harder, speaks louder, true voices.

I am a baptized Christian, but even us Christians have our doubts about some things in our religion.

People need to start recommending older thy art 😂 holy wars and on are so much weaker albums than their earlier 3 albums. They toned it down big time with this album. The Adversary is one of most brutal deathcore albums put out
