Can we literally talk about that first girl who justified stealing a freshman’s first kiss without their consent as show business?
Yeah, real fucking yikes.
Like is she aware that people on stage don’t actually have to kiss
Thought I was the only one uncomfortable by this. She didn't have t kiss him at all, she could have faked it, no one would have seen it and the fact that it was a big enough deal for him to have to talk to the drama teacher about it before hand makes it a tad bit worse imo. Also grabbing a minor's face and just kissing them without asking?? Gross. Even if you're a 17 y/o senior that is still rude and gross.
and even just the fact she called it “stealing” has such creepy uncomfortable vibes. imagine how terrified that kid must’ve been...
He was going to kiss her anyway... It was technically just rehearsal
1:40 Thank God he made it in time for the costume change though lmao
please repent, Jesus Christ loves you so much and He died for you

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE DUDE AT 8:30 WHO SOUNDED LIKE IDINA MENZEL?!
Oh god yeah-
Yes!!
I swear i am the only theatre kid that sounds like a dying cat when I sing
You ain't alone buddy-
not the only one but i got a lead this year because i'm the only one who can do it 👁👄👁
You are not aloooooooone, truly
No you’re not... I exist
Like they say in DEH, You are not alone
My theatre director unfortunately passed away a few weeks before auditions for our next musical. People don't think she's in the theatre, but I still think she's still in the theatre, watching every show we've done. Don't think she haunts the theatre, but I imagine she's up in the sound booth, helping everything along.
im so sorry for your loss,, i thought you meant she was literally still in the theater and i was so concerned??
So sorry for your loss
I didn’t think I was gonna cry tonight but I did
"i auditioned for ariel, i got chef louis"
LITERALLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME HAHAHA
im the opposite 😭 i auditioned for olaf but got elsa lol
So no one's gonna talk about how our queen voice teacher miss hannah bayles is in this?
i love her so much!! she is amazing! AND SHE"S ON TH-cam (sorry i just discovered that haha)!
MY QUEEN
I was so excited when I saw her 😂
So excited when I saw her
Imagine actually getting the role you auditioned for 😅😅😅
I did that once 😅 I auditioned for Veruca Salt and got her 😌
@@midnightdoodles nice! I usually deal with type cast directors and I’m not exactly “type” they want 😅 but I’ve gotten cool opportunities by that too
I auditoned for Drizella in Cinderella, and I got her! My bff got Anastasia. The only reason I got Drizella is because the director said we have an energy on stage and we play off of each other's energy well. Mostly because we can get in the other's space without making it uncomfortable
I have gotten the role I've auditioned for before.
Only once for the play frozen jr I got sven ( which I auditioned for)
Theater kid POV is the only acceptable POV humor on tik tok. The only other exception is band kid POV (and no, not literal jokes about instruments- I mean those kids that embody the humor of a band kid by dabbing and yelling big chungus, it’s so well done)
One last exception: THE VOLUME ON THIS BUS IS *ASSSSSSSSTRANOMICAL*
You worded it so theaterkidly. well done
and choir?
Alright, but always make sure the people are careful with the band kid tiktoks, because it tends to mock neurodivergent traits

A MAN OF THEATORRRRRRRRRRR
My school doesn’t offer musical theater or choir so I can’t do any of that stuff. We also don’t have band (or a football team for that matter lol) because we are an “education based” school, and the only way we can get art credits or athletic credits is through an art class (with painting and stuff) and p.e..
oh no! i'm really sorry!!
I hate how schools think art, choir, and theater can’t help you academically when it can help you get scholarships and such
@offbrand oreos
It’s fine, I do play sports most of the time so I wouldn’t have enough space on my schedule for it anyways. It’s just there are some people who can sing or play an instrument but can’t draw or anything like that, so a different art credit would be a better option for them. Some people can’t sit still, and that’s all you do when you draw or paint. Also, they don’t count sports as our athletic credit, so athletes have to do a p.e. period, and then practice later that day. I’m just venting about my school system now, whoops...
im so sorry :(

Also her: Chooses 'I Have Confidence' and that's only in the movie... *Facepalm*
Most productions do include the song actually now!
@@daneschmidt3706 No they don’t?
They don’t I was in the sound of music last year
Had the opportunity to be in the Sound of Music last year. Our production did indeed include it. Some do not but some do. Not sure about the original broadway production, but it would depend on whats she’s doing
The one of the two people singing Into The Unknown literally sent chills down my spine

Y’all out here doing musicals during high school... my school doesn’t think that performing arts are a good job career so they throw all of the money into sports!
mine doesnt have arts OR sports
Lemonade mouth lol
@Elysia Hernandez that wouldn't work at my school because of many reasons. I'm the only theatre kid, our stage is in our cafeteria so its barley bigger than a classroom, and we are kinda poor, but I'm glad it worked out for your school
school sports are just a scam to push kids into NCAA contracts where they literally just forego education in favor of doing free physical labour 80 hours a week for entertainment that makes other people millions
Same but with science instead. I swear they act like the performing arts doesn't even exist. I've only got like 3 teachers that relate to my love for acting and mt and we've got a lot of staff members🙃 high key wish I went to school in America or Canada instead of the UK
No one going to talk about the ones who sang into the unknown? 5:50
I know right that was amazing. The harmonies and high notes were beautiful
To the first girl.. CONSENT is also part of business, baby.

Aaah, the first one brings me so many memories. My second year of college and I had a kiss with a first year. I had been through MANY stage kisses, thanks to getting cast as the love interest or lead (basically the same thing in my case) in every musical/play done at the school my first year. So I was used to the kisses by that point. I used to be sooo awkward about them. But I took on the “that’s show biz” mindset. I wasn’t as forward and abrupt as the girl in the video though, I talked with him before and when he said I was his first kiss, I pulled him aside to a more private area, walked him through what we could do, and when he was comfortable enough, we did a quick practice peck so that he wouldn’t have to have his very first kiss be on stage in front of a bunch of people in the cast and crew. It was smooth sailing from there! I was honored to be someone’s first kiss 😂
Oh so that's the better version! I thought the girl was hella creepy tbh - she just kissed someone without their consent.
Good for you, that first girl was kinda not okay about it whereas you actually considered how he felt about it and there was consent
I’m playing Wednesday in the Addams family in two days and I have to Ro at ice my stage kiss tomorrow: I’ve never kissed anyone and neither has he so…
i had so many theater kid friends beg me to join them and drop choir but i was so scarred and i totally regret it! our theater co. was super cool and full of talent while choir co. couldn’t even find a director that’d last more than a year (i had 3 but after i graduated there was a 4th replacement) so everything we did was half assed and sloppy. my heart is so broken.
is no one gonna talk about the girl at 3:13??? she did amazing in my opinion. honestly if that were me i would probably freeze up-
I dont understand what happened
Daniel Vazquez the boys backstage missed their entrance, so she had to improvise while waiting for them and having NO idea when they were actually going to come on

Theatre Ppl: NO peacock feathers!!The evil eye will summon the devil!!!
Love Never Dies Climax:
That first one was disgusting... Yes, they were gonna kiss during the play, but that would have been with consent. THIS? What she did was without consent, and the fact that people can't see that is disconcerting to say the least. Let's be honest, if the genders had been reversed literally everyone would be agreeing it was wrong.
THANK YOU! Honestly that pissed me off so much. Like no, that isn't "show business" that is fucking sexual harassment and it is disgusting.
You guys need to chill your shit
Thomas Jefferson u are literally my spirit animal
@@scrypticism I absolutely do not. What that girl did was gross. She said that the kid was a freshman while she was a senior. That was his first kiss. He was nervous about kissing her. So what did she do? She took it upon herself to just come up and force a kiss on him. That is as bad as a random ass person walking up to you and just kissing you. He did not consent her kissing him. So no, I will not chill my shit.
Exactly. Stage kissing is nothing new.... she really didn't have to do that
Me: Oh yeah I think I'm a good actor
Dancing: *exists*
Me: *runs*
That's me but with singing as well lol
I was a theater kid in highschool but I'm kind of glad to be out tbh...I had some good times but my director was terrible and there was extreme nepotism. But if it wasn't for theater I never would have met the best music teacher ever who convinced me to study opera and hopefully be an opera singer one day, so I guess I can't be completely ungrateful.
Anybody else appreciate someone finally representing Anastasia the Musical It was my first show I ever performed in (during middle school). I got the part I wanted and it was one of the most magical experience of my life and I still remember it to this day. Theatre is amazing! (I was little Anastasia)
Someone gets the lead role “aw I wanted to be in the ensemble!” Me “ I VOLUNTEER!!!”
“Seriously are these kids ok” FOR SPELLING BEE HAD ME ROLLING
14:38 that happened to me one audition the girl literally said right but i kept doing left. I still got a supporting role (sour kangaroo) so i guess they saw potential lmao
14:37 sooooooo for me it’s BEAUTIFUL ACTING, Beautiful Dancing and HORRIBLE SINGING. God I can’t sing yet I still somehow get roles.
Those theater superstitions are so true my theater has a ghost in the smaller building that we do workshops for younger kids in.
I'm a theatre kid, the rest of my family are choir quirks (term my sister's choir made up). They're all more obnoxious about singing than I am, they sing randomly all the time, and join each other even when I think it would be better to sit back and listen to the one who started it or if it feels weird. I join in sometimes though, it's not like both groups aren't divas and we sound good together.
11:25 omg we did the same thing at our local theater before the show. The girls taught the boy that they killed during the show the choreo, exchanged a few accessories, and then just had them figure it out. It might be one of my favorite memories at that theater✨
2nd tik tok guy is literally me mentally every time I’m explaining how musicals and anime are the best things to ever exist Laughs and cry’s at the same time*
THE SHAVING ONE! I burst out laughing as soon I heard the first note!!
I remember one of the most embarrassing moments of our play. I was the only character who has a lot of costumes and the rest only had one. After I got off stage I only had like 10 seconds to change outfit before I come back as a prisoner. But the problem was It almost took a full minute for me to fully dress and the main actor was like crying on stage for like 40 seconds to stall time for me and kept saying my name (stage name) before I die and then I saw comfort on their faces when I showed up and the music started playing. That time was really awkward.
when you want to get into theater but have no clue about dancing singing or acting and you just have an unhealthy obsession with Newsies
8:38 I GOT CHILLS

Plus the kiss can be totally faked!! (Place your hand on their cheek and thumb over their lips, kiss your thumb and hide everything either by turning your head or using the back palm of ur hand).
Um actually no. Not sexual assault. She was trying to help him. He was going to kiss her anyway he was just really nervous about it because he didn't have much experience. She was trying to help get rid of the nerves. That IS showbiz
@@lilliannatolbert5250 it's a kiss without consent. it doesn't matter what her intentions were. he still didn't give her consent to kiss him. idk about you but if someone just came up to me and kissed me that wouldn't calm my nerves. I would feel even worse

One of the dancers slipped on the show and broke her leg.
Right before opening night. We all felt horrible for her, she was so excited to be in it.
14:09 that's what happens when you don't secure your wig in properly or don't do a hair flip, spin check....btw i know the struggle of stage hair sometimes.

And I feel genuinely bad for the drama kids because…
We are way way worse.
If you have never been in a bus full of choir kids, you have, we are among you and ready to sing blackbird by Paul McCartney.
And choir teachers make the severe miscalculation of letting us have our time to ourselves before warm ups.
That poor teacher was subject to many many fake americas got talent auditions.
I said the M word in drama elective(we don’t have a drama program properly but we get to basically just test it out) and then my skit I was in was decided(by the others in my group) to not happen. Don’t mess with it
