I really liked the tip about the tunic hitting at the hip joint. That can be tricky when you are short, but it's important so you don't look stout! proportions is the thing I like to learn about from you Erin. Thanks so much..............

great info! I have tunic tops as I am in my mid 50s now even though I haven't had weight gain in the middle. I've been on hormone replacement for years and I think that helped prevent that but I still tend to go to tunic tops. They are just verry comfortable to me. The black one you show is a great basic. I have jeggings and those go best with slim pants or jeggings. There are alot of changes though in my body over 50 I never imagined before. lol

I love the tunic look on other women, but I've never been comfortable in it. I'm flat-chested and wide-hipped, so I always just end up feeling like I look shapeless. These looks are SUPER cute on you, though. Love love love the boots!
Pahla B Fitness I think tunic tops look awesome on everybody. I have small boobs too... The trick is to find a garment that is "busy" up top on the bodice area. It could be a print or like a pin tuck, ruffles, contrast stitching and piping etc. Of course you can also belt it (some come with belt loops but it's not necessary). In the summer time tunics look awesome paired with sleeveless long cardigans.

I picked up a leather version of the Nile bag that is like the one you’re showing on Amazon but till now couldn’t figure out a way to really wear it. I have a black tunic and white leggings and some nude shoes. It’s funny how until you see something it doesn’t all come together in your mind and effort on your body :-) thanks so much

33lorie wrap front tops and wrap dresses look incredible on curvy women. Also V neck lines for the busty gal. Always remember to dress in a way that enhances the good parts and de emphasize the not so good ones.

Love that shirt but it’s sold out. Nordstroms recommended similar tops but I am hesitant because I don’t know if they’re not as “oversized” as you said this one is. 😕 I guess I will keep it as a favorite in my tabs and HOPE they decide to restock it. 😌

Hello Erin. Could you please provide style options for a longer tunic look especially for the apple shape. A short tunic makes women with the apple shape look like a lollipop or worse a candy apple (pardon the pun). Leggings, jeggings, and skinny jeans emphasize the abrupt line between legs and belly.

Hi Erin! Thank you for your expertise with fashion--you do such a great job. Your so young and pretty--everything looks great on you :) I was wondering if you could do a video for dressing plus size. I am 57 and have gone through menopause about 8 years ago. My weight has fluctuated over the years but I am 5'1" and weigh about 170. I know that sounds like a lot but I have been very fit and exercised pretty much my whole life so I hold my weight pretty well. I imagine there will be a time (with my doctors advise) that I will lose weight again; however, right now I find myself frustrated with trying to hide, cover and still look nice. I think I am on the right track but I like your style and could surely use more input. My main concern is my midsection and heavy upper thighs. Thanks so much!

Hi Erin - I think your videos are great! I noticed that when you show your legs in skirts or dresses, they always look tan. Which tanner do you use because they look perfect!
CC Advisor Does Sally Hansen still make than tan in a spray bottle thing--AIRBRUSH LEGS? I hear it's really good. I sometimes wear footless, sheer hose that has golden hue and sheen to it, mimicking a tan. Unfortunately l still no to shave or wax because l have dark, coarse hair
Great information! I have had 3 kids and having problems losing weight after the last one. I also have severe Crohn's that causes my stomach to distend. Sometimes halfway through my day, so ive basically given up on jeans or anything without a 1 size waist. Could you do a video on options for outfits like that? It really hurts when that happens and you have a waistband that isnt adjustable (elastic or manually). And after a while it becomes another reason not to leave your house with this disease 😥
Amanda Gray Try wearing pants with elastic waists. I know that might not be appealing and limits fashion choices. On the other hand Children's fashion is often the case when it comes to skirts and pants that come with adjustable elastic waists. I know because I'm super petite and l can still fit into them. A maternity trick to try is to always keep an elastic handy. You make loop with it over the button hole and use it to fasten onto the button. Just make sure your shirt covers that area. no one needs to know! 😉

Interesting because over here in aus, I doubt anyone would call that a tunic. We would call that top a shirt. To us, a tunic is at least midway to your knee or longer. Nice outfits. 😊
Carol Fudali Tunic tops have a specific length to them, longer than the average shirt yet not long enough to be a proper dress. it's an in between garment that is meant be worn with pants. In India this look is popular, they are sold as complete coordinating outfit ("suit"), a top and a bottom.
Fashion Designer Susan Graver on QVC sells a lot of these types of tunics. I have about 6 of her shirts to hide the tummy area!

I notice that you sometimes feature items from JCPenney. I have shopped at JCPenney for years because they are one of the few retailers that sell tall sizes. Usually have to order online but at least they have not forgotten us tall ladies! Kudos to JCP and I hope other retailers take the hint.

In my opinion, a legging look should contain a tunic which falls to the tips of your fingers when your arms are by your sides.

A humble request - if you could please try filming non-black fabric, I think it would be easier to see what you're showing us. The info is so interesting, but the images of you wearing the black clothing are pretty high contrast and all the details of the clothing are lost visually. I thank you for sharing, I just would love to see it better. (Black is really hard to light and photograph well.)

Great tunic! I was away on a cruise so just got to see this today!! Hey, what’s up with your hair styles? One day it’s obvious you trimmed it, next I’m wondering last week if you tucked it into a faux bob and then here in your lead intro pic it’s definitely shorter but the video has it trimmed to a mid length!! And you are definitely wearing it right beside your cheeks...that would drive me crazy and it looks like it does on you too bc you keep swiping it away from your eyes. Are you going to do a hair update video? About why you did it; why you chose a bob; why you are wearing it straight over your cheeks and why you obviously did it in two stages? Bc if your answers are: I was afraid; I’ve gained weight and wearing it to cover my face is a tip I learned as a broadcaster; or my hair was a damaged disaster and something had to be done, that would be awesome to hear bc that means that you are just like the rest of us...life is a struggle even for successful TH-camrs!! It gets so hard to measure up to y’all sometimes.
I cut it to literally lighten up. It feels easier and I’m happy taking less time to dry hair. It’s longer here because I taped this a while ago. Thank you!! And yes, I’m just like you all and that’s why I have my “real talk” series.
