Love the reformer/jump board sessions -- especially the ballet flourishes in this one. Was able to fit the Express version in at a work day lunchtime. Looking forward the Extended version tomorrow after work.
Trying this again, not sure why YT deleted my first comment...but, anyway, why/how with the box? I have a Stamina reformer & box, have practiced Pilates for over 20 yrs....found that impossible to do while stable. Box wobbled with or without the shoulder bars on. I adjusted and did w/out the box. How did you keep yours stable?
Hey there - re: why, using the box in this position is just a way to bring the body into the on-the-forearms position without having to rely on a great deal of hip flexion (some can’t crease at the hips enough for this). It can also feel a little more supportive for some. Any of this sequence can be done without the box, with the forward on the carriage and the hands wrapped around the shoulder blocks, however. Re: how, I think the sturdiness might depend on your reformer model and the weight of the box. Usually, boxes should be pretty secure in this position, but I’ve noticed that when I am using a box that is less heavy (like with the foam box I use here), it tends to wiggle a bit more. Traditional covered wood boxes, like the Balanced Body box, (in my experience) tend to stay put a little better. This foam box does have cutouts on the bottom to secure to the shoulder blocks, so that could also be part of why it’s decently stable

Great! Not to be biased, but the long one is my favorite 😅❤️
A nice quick mid-day heart rate elevation. Hope to do the extended version later in the week.
