Glad to see you repurpose this instead of it going in the landfill where most people throw them out for the trash.. turned out beautifully.. I do have a question for you that polyacrylic that you used what is that basically used for? is that so the paint doesn't chip and wear off, I'm assuming?

The polyacrylic is to protect the paint but it also gives it a beautiful finish.
