As a UW fan im confident we will be able to pass big chunk plays for quick tds, but im worried we will get bogged down by Texas sustaining long, rush heavy drives that wear us out and eat the clock. Looking at the OU game which was their Super Bowl and playing without the 5yr senior qb is kinda weird. But, Tech vs Cal had almost all the key players and Tech stomped Cal. Now look what UT did vs Tech and Washington did against Cal, that makes it look like Texas should be the clear frontrunner. But, these type of analysis are baseless and fodder for pregame talk from people that dont understand schemes or potential effects from packages against strengths and weaknesses.

Penix lost a couple of seasons due to injury. And COVID was killing a lot of athletes time in their sports. Don't forget why they go that extra year. My kid totally lost his sport progress due to Covid. These college kids got that extra year for a reason.
He played 6 games before tearing his ACL 14 TDs 4 Ints and led the Big Ten in passing ypg 🤷 not elite but Penix had the arm then he just lacked the experience. Ewers doesn't have that same kinda arm.
