@@TouristtoLocal Very welcome! The Bay Area in general has so many good places to check out. Another place I highly recommend is Il Pavone Italian restaurant in Walnut Creek. Family owned, authentic, and a lot of their stuff like the sausages are all made in house. Definitely a must do. God bless & peace!

Been going to Molinari's deli since 1962. The best deli and sandwiches in the City. And you can go to the bread bins to pick what type of bread your sandwich is made from. My advice: SOURDOUGH ROLL!!!!!!! 👍🥖

Two places you should try next time. Golden Boy Pizza on Green street off Grant ave, and for the very best Italian sandwiches in the City, Molinari's deli on Columbus street in North Beach!!!! 👍

What makes a restaurant, or dish, essential? Is it the setting, the ingredients, or the vibe you get from the staff? More likely than not, it's some combination of the three, coupled with the hard-to-define qualities that make it feel like this restaurant or dish could only exist here, in this place, at this time. San Francisco, with its long, storied food culture and equally colorful, indulgent history has no shortage of these places. Some have been around for decades, while others are new, fresh, and just as inextricable from the city's flavor DNA. Great food tour :-) Happy hungry! Cheers, Domenico.

This is a great question, and we'd have to agree with you: it's a combination of the three factors! Thanks for watching!

Next time you guys are there keep an eye (and an ear) open for the Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill. They're one of SF's more charming anomalies! They used to show up at a park near the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero and people would feed them by hand. The city put a stop to that though. The reason being that if they bit someone and they decided to sue, the city would be obligated to destroy them since they're not a native species.

    • @TouristtoLocal

That's so interesting to know! We appreciate you sharing these facts with us.

Go to Liguria Bakery to pick up focaccia bread…prices went up some but the tomato (or pizza) is about $9. Plenty for two to eat. It’s across the street from Mama’s where you can eat breakfast. Both on Filbert & Stockton Streets across the street from Washington Square in North Beach. Also at the end of Filbert & Columbus is Victoria Bakery. Have the best Italian chocolate eclairs, pastries and cookies

OMG! Everything looks awesome but wow - only seafood, what happened to Chicken? I like seafood but what if you can't eat seafood? I have seen so many videos about places to eat in SF and the majority ignore chicken outright, some talk about other meats but center on seafood. My humble request to you guys would be to make a tour to scope out restaurants that offer more than just seafood. Dishes with Chicken, lamb, maybe even Vegetarian dishes. Something different would be a breath of fresh air.

Chinatown definitely has some great non-fish options. So does North Beach and the Mission District! Check out those three videos we have on our channel now to see some non-fish food options :)

1:05 San Francisco Chinatown is no longer the largest Chinatown in the United State, the Chinatown in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan had already surpassed San Francisco Chinatown in population from years
1:50 Golden Gate Bakery rarely open, specially after the pandemic, and their egg tart's quality really went down a few years before the pandemic. Little Swan got good Pastel de nata (Portuguese style egg tart), but AA bakery now got the best Hong Kong style egg tart in SF Chinatown.

Our favorite Cioppino is in North Beach at Betty Lou’s. It is expensive but is meant for two to share. This video really made me miss home, we’re in PV now. You ate and drank all the good food! Yum!!
