ORBIT - drawmachine (2016)

Orbit is a mechanical art installation, which is drawing autonomous around his own centre of gravity. Inspired by the space orbit, the installation is drawing alternating, radial and linear around itself. With two mechanical transmissions, a source of electricity and a pencil, the machine draws sinus lines. In the randomness of the constant motion, Orbit creates generative patterns. The project is an experiment how mechanical installations get an own exist without code or digital media.
