Awesome video Eric. As an HO guy I will say if you buy an atlas locomotive that is equipped with an ESU decoder, get it. There an awesome decoder for HO scale and I have them in all my locomotives.
I totally agree sometimes getting out of your comfort zone is good I’m like you I do mostly o scale but a while back I bought a ho scale set but I have no flat surface to set it up on so it’s currently under my bed awaiting me to set it up

The Atlas HO should get the TSU-2200 and the 8-9 pin jumper, a 1” (28mm) speaker is suggested from Soundtraxx but scale sound systems should have a very good speaker for it. I recommend though opening the locomotive to confirm the items needed.
hi eric ive been serching youtube for a video on dcs such what is best wire to use braided or solid, how to run more than ten locos on a single block or channel without some engines turning on when i power up. also a new modern way to hook up signal lights. i using the old way of the two outside rails also it interferes with the dcs signal. i use mostly mth o guage ty Steve
Great video! For ho scale if you ever get steam go for athearn. They're not as diverse with steam but they still have some great ones. Also with that o scale breast care car I've seen that before in Maine
Could test these cars backing up on a 042 curve [ atlas OK ed ] . The reason that couplers are attached to the truck is because it will have a tendency to derail going in reverse on a curve without this design .Also add a few cars behind them for good test .
Like always great video ! Your not wrong about atlas rolling stock being the best . In my opinion it's the best in ho too ! I have an atlas master plus covered hopper and it's my favorite piece I have . Flawless from the metal walkways down to the wheels
I order me some Broadway Limited ho diesels and steamers getting ready to start running High end Ho trains myself ,started out with 8 Broadway Limited locomotives now cars and get started

Atlas make great ho cars . Eric Southern box car in ho you can buy detail parts make your own open vents . Very nice new add on to your rolling stock

A long time ago I ordered model power's railway gun and waited 6 months back order for it. Personally I think it was worth it.

I keep the door to the layout room closed at all times and the cats are only allowed in there if I'm watching them.
