Three Main WeChat Feeds For Marketing

WeChat isn't just an app, it's more like an ecosystem of interconnected apps.
In this video, I look at the three main areas of WeChat that content marketers need to know about. Each of these areas functions differently and can be used by different types of people/businesses.
In this video, we explore:
1️⃣ The 'Discover' feed or "朋友圈" (pengyou quan), where content is primarily shared by friends and contacts. We discuss who should utilize this feature and how.
2️⃣ The Chat Area, including 公众号 (gongzhonghao) or Official Accounts. I explain the differences between Service Accounts and Subscription Accounts and which businesses should opt for each type.
3️⃣ The 'Channels' feed or "视频号" (Shipinhao) that functions similarly to TikTok, presenting viral and interest-based content to users.

Thank you. I'm looking to make a large chat group for my English teaching marketting. Using the channel feed content to encourage users to join my chat group. Then in the Chat group post learning content for the purpose of 'encouraging' members to go on and book an online class. What do you think is a manageable number of members in a chat group? of course i'd like to have as many as possible, but for coherence, I can't post a question to a group and have 100 replies. I'm thinking 20 members in a group. But then how to scale that? have mulitiple chat groups, one mother group and then a few children groups. It is difficult to work out.

I don't have a precise answer, but I have a few thoughts.
Most groups that I'm in tend to get pretty quiet, even if they have 500 members. Having smaller groups might help if u want more interaction per person, but then you'll also have more groups to manage.
Some of my most active groups have only about ten members but are for clients paying us 2-4K USD for marketing services. When somebody is paying, they should be more active.
I would guess you should go ahead and create some groups and then see how it goes. The one "mother" group for everybody and then smaller groups as well could be a good idea.
Those are my thoughts for now.

Ads can be used to target users based on interest and many other factors. WeChat has a lot of data to use.
They're useful for driving leads, gaining followers, driving app installs, etc.
But there are many limitations based on industry vertical too, unfortunately.
