Hope you guys enjoy this trick. It’s so much fun and really really impossible for your spectators, there’s too much going on for them to put back together. Here are my PRO TIPS! To really make this perfect.
    1) you don’t have to make them sign the card but I like to a lot because it’s so much more impossible when they realize their exact card ends up where the ace was. If it’s signed it can’t be a duplicate that you switched in ahead of time. Also the marker gives a justification for re-gripping the deck and most importantly it gives a reason to put their signed card down on the deck before doing the double (you need to put the card down to grab the marker back, otherwise why not just have them sign it, pick it up and turn it over with one hand? It only makes sense to set it down for a second while you get the marker)
2)I think the most important part of the trick is the recap before you show the 4 security guards at the end. Because there are 3 things to remember so the reminder clarifies everything AND because it’s the perfect reason to point with your left hand then grab the kings with your right hand adding their chosen card. So remember after they place their hand on top of “their card” (really the ace of diamonds) always say. “ ok now remember, you have your card, the diamond is over here ( point with left hand) and the security guards are here. (Grab with right hand). It’ll clarify everything and make the palm a lot more natural
    3) you CAN have them sign the ace of diamonds but I don’t recommend it. Sure it makes it more clear that it’s the same one but since it’s gone from the vault I think it’s already clear it’s the same one. Also within the story it makes absolutely no sense for the thief to sign the diamond. Breaks the logic of the story.

Great Trick and tutorial. Fooled me even while teaching it but I think a couple weeks could have it down pretty solid. The story is the key to the misdirect in order to pull off all the minor slights and what not. Well guess I have a good weekend project now :)

This won't be short and sweet. It'll be long and heartfelt. But I think you should know this..So here we go...
Spidey I've only been subbed to your channel for a few weeks now but I am MORE than impressed! There's a topic for everyone no matter what your interests are, and the info you're giving is golden ..not to mention your talent displayed on top of it. When I can literally sit through an entire tutorial when I'm not even practicing the trick..that speaks volumes to me about how entertaining You are. But you're not JUST an entertainer...you're an incredible person! You have created such a sense of community on your channel I'm actually PROUD to be a part of it. You stand against people bullying, you interact with your fans more than any youtuber I've seen. You are constantly supporting your fans with advice and helping them seek knowledge on things they're struggling with. You joke around with us and create a lighthearted, enjoyable atmosphere. I'm just so impressed with your professionalism, your talent, your connection and interaction with your fans, the encouragement and advice you're constantly giving, and your consistency. Thank you for doing what you're doing and being the amazing person you are! You're changing thousands of lives all around the world and bringing success, happiness, amusement, and entertainment to everyone. No matter how big your name gets I hope you never change...but either way it goes I'm still a fan for life! Thank you Spidey! Also.. thanks for another amazing video today😃💕

*Spidey* Love how you add the story (or patter) to your tutorials. Many times that part of a performance is harder than any of the slights used. Also love the turnover move at the end. So easy yet so effective. Kinda like the cross cut force. After you learn it you would swear it wouldn't work. But it always does. Bravo once again my friend.

    Hi Spidey (and community)!
First of all, I really liked the trick, it´s really clean. Now, I wanted to post a little tip that I came up with after watching it and practising, before doing it I returned to the video to see if you´ve already told this tip and I realizaded that you didn´t but that you are already doing it.
So I would like to point out to those who didn´t notice.: if the card which steals the king at the beginning of the trick and the card before the ace are both figures (like 2 queens or 2 jacks), the result will be cleaner when the ``ace´´ goes on the table.
I think that it has a powerfull efect psychologically, as when you turn the ace, they see the first figure, and afterwards when you put it on the table they see another one.
    Thanks for you time!

Brother John is one of my all time favorite magicians. That signed card was one of my go to effects for a while. (Lots of Bro John’s magic was). This is a REALLY wonderful adaptation Spidey! Combines a few basic principles while staying true to the original handling. That’s magic! Taking a classic and making it your own! Wonderful job as always brother! For anyone interested, Brother John has some amazing books but they can be hard to find (and they get pricy if you manage to find a copy). I found an online download of the entire book “Secrets of Brother John Hamman” that is MUCH more affordable. He’s one of the first (to my knowledge) to really implement gimmicks a LOT in his earlier work and then transitioned to pure sleight of hand in the latter decade or so if his career. An underrated great FOR SURE. TY for sharing this with us. I hope ppl understand how beautiful this effect truly is (and it gets great reactions). Also: I’m stealing that “A Diamond” joke 😂 Can’t believe I never thought of that before! Keep busting these out Spidey!

    Hey Spidey...
    Fan from India here.
If you are reading this, please try this for me.
This 4 Kings trick reminded me one thing from childhood. One of my grandfather's brother used to visit us in the holidays and showing this trick to us. We used to went amazed. This is around 20+ years earlier.
One King and His Queen used to rule one happy kingdom (the remaining deck). Once 4 robbers visited their kingdom (4 jacks) and robbed their castle. Then they hide in their kingdom (each jack at any random position in the deck). The king collapsed mentally with the robbery under his nose. But the queen stands and promises to catch all the thieves. Queen goes to kingdom. (They used to shuffle the cards with Queen but without the king for some time and used to show us all the cards face-up.
    Boom.
The deck has all jacks behind queen.
That grandfather never revealed a trick and I always carry that excitement to know about it.
    Please!

I would love to try and add on to this a bit further because usually after a trick like this the participant will ask "How did you do that?" and then you could go something like "Well naturally like the thief in the story I had an accomplice..." At which point you show the King of Spades the card you had posing as the diamond now held with the rest of the deck. "A man on the inside." and do a flick change to the Joker card. It would be a great way to hint at how the trick works without giving anything away and even adds some more mystery to the story.

Ok I've ran through it a couple of times now & I have to say that those deceptive moves I missed are excellent & will get plenty of ply from me elsewhere. I also have to say what is so clever about this trick, apart from the afore mentioned, is how there is a "reason" to do almost everything like your hand over the deck palming the card while telling them to hold the card firmly to the table for example.

Watching performance and that steal was nice! Whenever I want to steal I always steal while peeling off the card and steal from the bottom then do an elmsley count (depending on cards I should have and if I need to) this one is more practical imo. I should know it be wise it is close to a turnover steal but I never thought of doing It this way) so thank you. I'm clarifying I seen the steal during the performance haven't watched the tutorial yet. I seen the exact point because it wasn't as clean as we would a like )

Dang it! I don’t even know how I found your channel. But this is so highly entertaining! When you explain it it sounds so easy. But you got to be so skilled. I love it. Maybe one day I’ll try one.

Well as a magician yourself Spidey you know the crack, meaning that if you do certain sleights you can recognise them being done & so I caught all but 3 of them in real time during your performance. I missed the clever turnover at the end & the stealing of the King at the start as well as how you got your card face up for the double lift with their signed card. So I will work on those 3 as I see them being useful in the future elsewhere & it's a cool trick worth learning. Oh & thanks for the bend the deck tip for the pinky palm as I think my version of that always looks a bit off so I'll give your tip a try to try to make mine look more natural in future. To be clear mine doesn't look bad just a bit weird as I reposition the card to make it bend up under skin cover fully so eliminating that extra repositioning move would be great.
