Huge thank you Harry for all that you do for the bbq community!! I know so many us have learned from you! It was great seeing and getting sone tips from you and all the experienced pit masters that day! Keep up the amazing work!🔥🏆🤙🏼
This was an interesting, fun watch, Harry. It looked like everyone had a good time. Not planning to compete, but it was nice to see how it all comes together.
This looks like so much fun!!! I wish they did events like this near me. This was such a fun video to watch, would love to see more content like this!!
I’m a new subscriber. I really am glad I found your channel. I also have a WSM and love smoking ribs and I can tell you have a real passion for bbq culture. I’m interested in your opinion on pellet grills. Do you feel like they take the fun out of bbq or are cheating?
Any smoker will be fine. It's always the pitmaster and never the pit. Don't get G-A-S (gear acquisition syndrome) which is the most common problem I've seen. The pit does not matter sauce as your skill, knowledge, and dedication
Really awesome Harry. So cool to see the back yard pit masters like most of us putting their product out there to up their game. Also so cool to see the pro judges and pit masters helping the novices learn and grow. What a great community of sharing and goodwill towards your fellow humans. Are these back yard throw downs something that happens in every area or does the local bbq enthusiast need to organize an event? I would love to see one in the northeast. I might even organize it if I knew where to start. Any ideas? Thanks for sharing and as always thanks for doing your part to help others. Cheers from out easy.
This was fun to watch Harry. I have heard your going to be up in Washington for a event in October or November? I'm not ready to compete but would like to check it out if the dates work out. 😃🌤👍
Piss off. These people made the choice to have a gathering and have fun with their lives and accepted the risk you take by getting out of bed every morning. You probably still hide in your house every day...have fun trolling videos while the rest of us are enjoying great food and company 🤠
@@SlapYoDaddyBBQ Implying I don't? Right. I've been vaccinated and still avoid crowds, especially crowds too ignorant to even take basic measures like masks. But go ahead, covid is thinning the herd nicely.
Sorry Harry but not all the the people have the same taste, some probably like spicy, sweet, sour, smoked, etc. It is hard to judge their food but still keep doing what you guys do God bless you all
Yes competition you don't cook what you like. You cook to win over 24 strangers so you have to pleasure their taste preferences. I don't cook comp ribs at home. I grill w SPG and eat w squeeze of lime and Pico de Gallo. My home recipe will not win me $10K at a contest so I cook like an MMA fighter to win with whatever works
Good food
Great learning experience with the judging.....Thanks for sharing...Cheers Harry...

@@SlapYoDaddyBBQ ps. I’m thinking of getting a traeger as an intro grill to smoking. Is it worth it?

I like to see more of these compition videos whether it's a how to video on making a compition meat or just appearing in one in general.

Hey Scott, you can organize these live judging events yourself. You can ping your local BBQ Association to get volunteer judges

Depending on whether you believe in science, which I do,, there is something called vaccination.

It takes huevos to receive feedback like that from judges.
