I absolutely loved how they did this scene. I was pretty freaked out watching it, calmed down a bit watching the flower bloom, and then got jumpscared by the blow to the back of the head. All in all the horror element of this entire episode was done so well

Gonna be honest, reading Stone Ocean, this whole part really put 'bizarre' in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It makes the previous part look like a high school drama. And we haven't even gotten to 4 balls guy yet.
I'm pretty sure Junji Ito deserves some credit for this as source of inspiration. But just using him as inspiration for shonen manga is already very commendable move by itself. Not something too many mangakas would dare to do or could get away with.

When Pucci has just acquired C-Moon and is helping the woman at the supermarket and his power accidentally goes off. The woman was not only holding the carton of eggs that was effected by C-Moon, but also her baby who’s face was literally half baby half man.
Yeah they take out a lot of that stuff probably so its light on the censors. In part 1 their is literally a scene in the manga where a baby's face get's ripped off by their mother because Dio turned said mother into a vampire. It's not shown in the anime but boy in the manga is it gruesome.

Stone Ocean is when the BIZARRE goes Kaioken. Im glad A lot of people have been noticing that the battles and plot of Part 6 is going overboard and FYI it doesn’t stop.

Ignoring the plant stuff, the way his body is contorting and how he's acting reminds me of a joy mutant from Lisa the Painful. Honestly an anime of that game made by David Productions would be absolutely amazing, also out of all the different architypes of genres I think Araki does horror the best.
In addition to making a book about manga, Araki has also made a book about horror films too so it is no surprise he is into horror, and good at incorporating it into works.

When I was reading the manga, this scene came up, and it was the one and only time throughout my entire read through that made me audibly yell "What the fuck am I looking at??" Gotta say, damn impressive DP was able to make the scene somehow creepier in animation. Only makes me more hyped to see Made In Heaven in action once the finale comes!

The most terrifying part of this scene is not so much of the poor prisoners becoming plants. Its the rerorero sound that was used in this anime. It sounded very demonic and hellish!! I at first though the rerorero sound will be like the victim tried to say rerorero will be in an agonizing and slurry with saliva. But no! Whoever in the production team decide to go on with the demonic rerorero deserve some kudos for making these scene downright nightmare fuel compared to its original manga.
This scene does a great job. You got the main cast in a dire situation while the little dude is talking all poetic and shit til his death with creepy music playing in the background. They don't call this series bizarre for nothing
